Wallabees gets plenty of hate? Seems like it is well loved here on NT, I've seen a handful of appreciation threads on it in all my years here.

A lot of us came up on this Japanese ish way back in the early-mid 00's when this stuff wasn't accessible, so there's a sense of nostalgia with things like FBT's. At least that's the case for me.
 
I've seen both arguments.

I had a pair in the past. I have no problems with em myself. But visivims, idk. I guess the sides ruin it for me.
 
And FWIW, they're totally overrated and the quality sucks. My pair literally ripped the second I slipped my foot inside. You can see the stitching where the side panel and the top of the foot meets. If you have wide feet, the stitching will rip and there's no repairing them once that happens (aside from super glue).
 
They are around 400 usd 8 years ago in Japan, didn't pull the trigger back then which make it even harder to pull the trigger right now.

they wouldnt even be discussed right now

i got no prob with Ye but im not a Ye stan either, i wont deny his influence though.

^^^^ To me though I ask myself what is the allure about Kanye West that grown men will not even think twice about a certain piece of clothing or footwear but when Kanye wears it they do a complete 180 and say this is so cool and amazing and buy it? SMH. I understand celebrity but with Kanye it really sticks. Deep down inside I think some people have a lust to want to be like Kanye or might be trapped in the closet and his fashion is a way they can feel close to him. :rofl: The 2 year + frequenters of this thread have seen the Ye effect.

^^^ I'm going with fake on the Pavot. They appear to be extremely high quality fakes for some reason the toe box area was the first thing that grabbed me that seemed fishy. Secondly, underneath is stamped with Balenciaga while the real ones, the Balenciaga wording is carved into the rubber. Lastly, the DEAD GIVEAWAY is the box. The Pavot came out way before the longer box top sides came. The sides shouldn't be so long around the box cover. But I ask myself why would you even buy them in that shape they look pretty beat. Overall, I hope my expertise has made you more aware.

the bottom of the soles are different from mine thats for sure...

the box... ehhh when i have multiple pairs my lids switch all the time. i don't remember which pair came out with the bigger lid... its irrelevant
