Damn those mints look sick!  I passed up on them when they first came out and just got the violet blue ones.  Picture is definitely making me wish I purchased them back then!  

I didn't realize it until recently that the new pleats have significantly less quality in my opinion than these mints and my violets. These are the ones not with the folds but with the stitching in between.  The leather is not as thick and feels cheap in comparison.

I really hope they get brought back in the future in mint, red, and some nice new cw's

Those SL's are great bro as you know thanks for mines too!!!. I still haven't taken a pic in those yet. Maybe today. I just got blk and red SL's saturday for a great price. Now just gotta buy Blk and White SL's and Ill be good before the prices get to 700 lol.

Can't access the whole article but iirc that article was all about limiting supply to keep expensive shoes seem like it is flying off the shelves faster than it actually is. Hype and supply definitely plays a huge part of it. If the Arenas and Pleateds and Buscemis are in such high supply then it won't sell for as much as it is. It is like Rolex creating a false demand to supply ratio with their Daytonas. Their stainless steel version is their best seller and dealers can charge retail for it and sell within a day but Rolexes production of Daytonas consist of 5% in stainless steel, 15% in two-tone and 80% in solid gold/platinum. Sure Rolex could make 50% in stainless steel and make tons of money but then it won't be as coveted and in the long run, it'll be less special (to the consumers point of view). Kind of like the McRib, if Mickey Ds offered it all year long then it won't sell as well as it does when it is rarely released.

I also just do not agree with the statement that "If someone is willing to pay $500 for a sneaker they would pay $800 for them and not even think twice", that $300 difference is huge. The article is somewhat misleading, as I said there will be people who are wiling to pay any price and has no ceiling but if that only happens to one or two brands then it isn't really capturing the market as a whole. How many pairs of shoes that cost as much if not more are sitting in the shelves not moving? How many of those will eventually go on sale and at times even at 50% off still not sell? I see a lot of Pradas and Guccis at 70%-80% off and still not move.

Saying there is no ceiling on sneakers is like saying there is no ceiling on car prices because there are people willing to pay a billion for a Bugatti but price a Lexus or a Mercedes at that price and it won't sell so there are definitely a ceiling in most brands and that really is telling more of the market when most brands won't sell for that price than one or two brands being able to sell a one-off piece.
 
for those that asked if I got my tracking number from Barneys... I just did this morning. My futures should be here no later than 11/28/14. With thanksgiving and all that, I doubt it will be this week. At least way before xmas tho!!!!!!!! Hopefully I like them in person as much as I Do in pics. First MMMs.

SL gets so much love on here, yet the least impressive lux shoe i ever owned........an ive had my fair share on the low

i really dont know what i was expecting.....wonder how much it cost for them to make that shoe

their boots and shoes are prob much better

balenciaga honestly feel more luxury than the sl/10h

'saint laurent paris' on the tounge must mean half *** quality

dont even brand me give me better quality then

i still wear em on saturday doe

I feel you. I was on a high end shoe hype.. and I copped some SL's which I was not too impressed with. I got them on matches when they had a decent sale.. and iam like, mehh.. Balenciaga may be falling off to some of you, but I LOVE my arenas...everyday shoe, looks good, comfy and good quality. I think SL makes some dope coloways and their quality is good, but not where it should be. Either way, id still cop and rock. lol
 
I sold all my arenas........I have urge to sell my sl/10h now

CL is callin me. Arenas are cool....I just get bored with shoes an I don't need a lot at once.

Just copped CL rantinos this weekend. My first pair of CLs, and I am beyond impressed. The suede is stunning. Very well made shoe overall.

Agre d with the above--balenciaga really feels like luxury. SLPS has awesome styles, but just feel like normal sneakers. Despite saying that, I still cop since they look awesome

Same as nikes flyknits--11 in Nike, copped 44 in rockstud trainers (but this was back a year and a half ago). The Stan smith wannabes run one size big, copped a 43 in those
