Those Ronnie Fieg Buscemi are trash dont see how anyone can waste their money on a product like that. How is it high end when dude used to own Gourmet Sneakers before Buscemi.

This doesn't make any sense.

I couldn't stand those jordan inspired canvas joints

"Founded by Jon T. Buscemi, Greg Lucci and Greg Johnsen, Gourmet Footwear is a footwear and apparel brand that blends Italian and American culture. These veterans in the footwear industry have fused together the sophistication of Italian style with the ruggedness of American style to create sneakers that are stunning, understated, and original.
Many of Gourmet Footwear's initial designs were inspired by classic Air Jordan models. These stripped down versions were not carbon copies, but rather a refined interpretation on the iconic Air Jordan silhouettes. Although this was a risky proposition, critics and sneakerheads instantly applauded the designs."

Welp, sold my rouge braise arenas....any recommendations on how to blow $550  ?

Any deals out there for someone who wears a US 10 fellas :nerd:

I don't see how SLPs get a pass but those Buscemis don't. And this is something from someone who hates Buscemi sneakers.

I think SLPs are better liked because it was executed better.

Those Buscemis are like a terrible amalgamation of Supra and AJIs and CP sole along with the Birkin hideousness. I think it just looks bad.

Looks are subjective of course but from what i've seen, something executed well and not so blatant. I think "blatant" is the key word and the same reason some also do not like Hender Schemes. For the most part, SLP is only color-inspired while Buscemi literally took some cuts and shapes from the AJIs and put it on his shoes. Like the whole front quarter is practically AJi.

HIGHLY CONSIDERING COPPIN THE RED SUEDE BALENCIAGA ARENA'S.

I WAS GONNA GET A EU48(SZ. 15) BUT THEIR SITE SAYS THEY RUN A FULL SIZE BIG SO I WILL PROBABLY SETTLE ON A EU47.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, I FOUND A SELLER WHO GETS BIG SIZES IN THEM, HE WANTS $750.

GO FOR IT? SEARCH AROUND MORE?

ALSO, HOW TO CHECK FOR AUTHENTICITY ON THE ARENAS???

If anyone is interested, I have a 2nd pair of black/gold SL10 coming in from SLP.. Size 42.. Was able to grab mine from in store, retail plus ship cost if someone interested shoot me a pm.. They'll be delivered tomorrow

I threw a lot of reps the last two pages. I'm in agreeance with the Buscemi collab. Had potential, but not anymore. I've yet to see anyone actually wearing a pair of Buscemi in public.

Not sure if posted but Barneys got their redsole futures.

I like the SLPs cause they remind of something the Orphans, Baseball Furies, or some gang from The Warriors would wear.

I dont either lol..the black and whites and the other colors are cool but those jordan colorways are a no...might as well take a step back and just wear jordans for cheaper lol. But i  think its just because its considered "high fashion" with a colorway alot of people can relate to.

Wait so you're saying these brands (or any brands) are prohibited from using a black/red and black/blue colorways because they're Jordan colorways?

I think he means the specific Jordan color blocking, like how we can look at the 10H's and tell instantly what the 'inspiration' was.

But so what?

Again if someone has a clear set of eyes, it is easy to see that it is merely a color inspiration and the shoes are different (in SLPs case at least) and for some reason companies can't/shouldn't do it?

I mean I don't own any of those AJ inspired colors so you can't even say I am just defending my own purchase, I just find it ridiculous, this sense of entitlement that no one else should do it because Jordans did it first? I mean even if you change the color-blocking on the SLPs, it'll still be AJ inspired or some other Nike Dunks inspired in one way or another because Nike/Jordan has likely done almost every iteration of color-blocking for the 3+ decades the shoes has been in existence. So that means you simply can't do a black and red colorway? Chucks did a black upper and white sole first, I guess no one shoes do that colorway because Converse did it first?

And to say why not just wear Jordans like I can easily walk to a store and grab myself some Bred I highs for retail. And don't give me that "pay resell and its the same price or cheaper than the SLPs" because I am not going to do that, just like I am not going to pay more for SLP. Look further into it and you also see that the SLP are simply sleeker and lower profile overall, it has a better shape (or I prefer it's shape better). I am not even going to say SLPs are leaps and bounds better in quality than AJIs but it is still better. So no I am not going to pay the same or close to or the same price as SLP when silhouette, profile, quality and less branding on the SLP are better than the paper-like retro JB has been putting out.
