I don't see how SLPs get a pass but those Buscemis don't. And this is something from someone who hates Buscemi sneakers.
I dont either lol..the black and whites and the other colors are cool but those jordan colorways are a no...might as well take a step back and just wear jordans for cheaper lol. But i  think its just because its considered "high fashion" with a colorway alot of people can relate to.
Jordan 1s are currently going for the same price if not more than the sl/10h

But so what?

Again if someone has a clear set of eyes, it is easy to see that it is merely a color inspiration and the shoes are different (in SLPs case at least) and for some reason companies can't/shouldn't do it?

I mean I don't own any of those AJ inspired colors so you can't even say I am just defending my own purchase, I just find it ridiculous, this sense of entitlement that no one else should do it because Jordans did it first? I mean even if you change the color-blocking on the SLPs, it'll still be AJ inspired or some other Nike Dunks inspired in one way or another because Nike/Jordan has likely done almost every iteration of color-blocking for the 3+ decades the shoes has been in existence. So that means you simply can't do a black and red colorway? Chucks did a black upper and white sole first, I guess no one shoes do that colorway because Converse did it first?

And to say why not just wear Jordans like I can easily walk to a store and grab myself some Bred I highs for retail.

And don't give me that "pay resell and its the same price or cheaper than the SLPs" because I am not going to do that, just like I am not going to pay more for SLP. Look further into it and you also see that the SLP are simply sleeker and lower profile overall, it has a better shape (or I prefer it's shape better). I am not even going to say SLPs are leaps and bounds better in quality than AJIs but it is still better. So no I am not going to pay the same or close to or the same price as SLP when silhouette, profile, quality and less branding on the SLP are better than the paper-like retro JB has been putting out.
Dunno, have no problems personally with Jordan inspired cw's, was just clarifying what I thought he was saying. But I mean I also like Hender's and (to a degree) those AJ1 Buscemi's, so I can't really speak for the other side. I would assume that people don't like brands crossing whatever fine line exists between inspiration/adaptation and replication, like I know people who didn't mind the AJ1-like silhouette of the 10H but were no longer fans when they also went for the colorway as well. Tbh I don't care if someone replicates someone else's work, so long as the product ends up being superior to the product replicated.

Also to those looking, Vince makes a Lanvin low alternative minus the patent toe. Retails $300 but they'll go on sale.

you cant be looking that hard. these are probably the easiest sneakers to get.

barneys
ysl
bergdorf
ssense

all have your size in several colorways

I have the SL/10s in jordan colors. Could I get Breds and Royals for the same price, Yes. But the retail on the Nikes are so much lower. At least with the Breds and Royals, you can get a deal if you are patient.

I understood that part, but where you lost me is when you said that the designer shouldn't be allowed to make anything high end because he made cheaper shoes in the past.

I guess that depends on what your definition of high end/ luxury is. To me if I'm gonna spend a high end price, then I want the item to be able to merit that price. Brands like Saint laurent or Balenciaga they can charge their prices because they're established and have a history of making luxury items. Then you have a guy like Buscemi who started off making average sneakers and now only 3 years later he is able to label his products as high end/ luxury? While Buscemi's quality might be on par with other high end brands I don't think I would be able justify spending my money on his products when's there's no history or recongnition of his brand.

low and mid arenas fit the same for me.....

are those tan ones with gum available online yet?

Anyone in here have a pair of Buscemi shoes? If so, do they tend to run TTS or no?

I wear size 11 and 11.5 Jordans/Lebrons so should i go 11 or 12 with Buscemis?

Thanks in advance!
