srizvi722 srizvi722 really? I'm surprised. I find my pair quite comfortable. Not as comfortable as SLP but far more comfortable than Arenas.

I think you might do ok with stains though due to the material. It's not just leather, it's got a different feel that seems to be a little more easy to clean/dirt repellent.

They're comfortable. But no where near what Balenciagas comfort used to be, my pleated are insanely comfortable, and my made in Italy arenas >>>>>>made in Spain as far as comfort goes. I did walk ~2-3 miles in the perfs before being in pain around the Achilles heel--so it's a given it would hurt.
Awesome shoes though.

Dang fam, really? I loved my sl10 royals so much I bought the breds a week later. I guess I was going based off how much I liked the way they looked though. They're not necessarily the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, but I wasn't expecting them to be.

Is there anything in particular about them that you're not feelin?
i do love the look,  but the overall quality of the leather just doesnt seeem to match up to the price tag.   I was in barneys the other day and held some givenchy and Giuseppe in my hands and the leather just blows the SLP away,  maybe thats where the extra 300's going but for 700 i expect a little better than this

Ok, I can see where you're coming from. I guess I too was hoping for a little more after paying close to $700 after tax. At least they look good though, right!? Haha.

I originally got the royals because I had shadow and bred jordan 1's, so I thought I'd close it out with the royals. Then I said screw it, sold my shadow and bred 1's and bought the bred sl10's.

brianmendoza brianmendoza no problem, glad it worked out for both of you!

imgoinplaces imgoinplaces I hear you, I've sold a lot of my Jordan's as well in order to buy other high end shoes/sneakers but honestly, the look of the SL10's is just as young/urban as the Jordan 1's really.

Sometimes I feel like people (including myself) think price = mature choice but to most that view you (non fashion enthusiasts), a sneaker is a sneaker.

Of course there are those that are a little more low key/simple, like CP's or MMM GAT's, or even SL01's/02's that can be pulled off with more mature clothing/suits and what not but for the most part, we're still just in the sneaker game only with high end brands

Jodphurs, wyatts, chelseas, etc are exceptions as those are actually more mature models, in my opinion

Thats a good point - although, i feel like the overall look of the more high end stuff is more mature/clean.  I will always have an eye for someting that pops and stands out but i deff want to start transitioning that look to the exception - not the norm.   im getting old !!!

For sure, I feel the same. I'm 28 and the more I'm around mature peers or businessmen/women, whether in a business or recreational setting, I want to not necessarily conform but I don't want to be dressed so flashy/ostentatiously. I love snerakers, I love clothes and all that, but like you, cleaning it up a bit and finding fashionable outlets that aren't SO streetwear inspired seems to be more my speed. So if I meet some friends for drinks, I could pull off some MMM GATs nicely and satisfy the acceptable dress and my like for sneakers simultaneously.

I was just saying that we're still playing the sneaker game to some extent and some pairs are no more mature than sportswear brands.

I'm often in suits/business casual wear. Makes me wish I was in the music or fashion industry so I can wear whatever the hell I want.

Deff - i work in the corporate setting as well,  my biggest problem these days....so many kicks and not enough places to where them

23soles 23soles Well said. They still sneakers so the love is there. I think Lanvin does a good job of looking like a mature sneaker without being too loud or fashion forward.

imgoinplaces imgoinplaces Same setting as you and it kills me that I can't wear my shoes.

Sometimes im even tempted to where them places i know i shouldnt - like the gym ... just to wear them.  Its a shame

I usually don't pay too much attention to what I ' should' wear. I just wear what I want.. of course depending on the occassion. Lol I drive a bright blue m4 so it's only right I do me and step out with bright red shoes lol. Nahh but for real, I usually could care less about fitting in.

Man I just thought about that a couple weeks ago, but then I was like people would think I'm trying to flex. That is the place I frequent most that is sneakers acceptable.

Sneaker P Sneaker P of course, don't know how I forgot to mention Lanvin.

retro707 retro707 you copped the m4 already? Damn, bro. Not playing, huh? Nice!

I definitely pay attention to my surroundings when dressing, especially with high-end clothing. Shallow or not, it sometimes can potentially rub people the wrong way or give off a douchey vibe that you may not want to portray. Looking well put together is the aim, "stunting" is no bueno. Of course, how you carry yourself is a significant variable in how you come off to others.

And that's just when I'm around people that matter, coworkers/bosses, etc. When I go out with my girl or friends, I dress however I feel. F it.

Haha, I couldn't imagine high end shoes in the gym in regards to comfort. There, it's function over fashion for sure but if high end sneakers are functional for you, F it. I'm in my trusty beat up New Balances in the gym.

23soles 23soles I'm in the same boat. I always try to dress the part. From the pics I've seen in this thread we all pretty much dress well. I never want to give off a certain vibe when dresse, the only thing I want is the well together with taste look.

Around co workers/bosses my style is tame and boring, when going out with friends I always try to look stylish.

 I was referring to Jordans and some Nikes to the gym, never high-end shoes. Although they say common projects help with your vertical. not srs.

Psh yea. I wore all my kicks/street wear 24/7. But now that I'm done with school and on rotations at hospitals/pharmacies, my clothes/shoes get almost no wear. I don't even feel right buying nice dress shoes/dress clothes bc of my work setting.
:frown:

Haha, aren't Jodphurs traditionally riding boots?

I'd be more impressed if you wore some wyatts for an outdoor run or hooping

Not a single person I hang out with knows what I'm wearing however they do know I spend a lot of money on clothes so I guess they assume everything I wear is high end.

I wear a lot less graphic stuff and mainly solid v necks, crews. Nice pair of jeans.. some dope designer kicks and a simple shirt. Ima pretty casual. I do dress up fr work and all my coworkers know my addiction to kicks so the always expecting me to wear heat lol. For my xmas party I wore my red balenciagas and people were going crazy ha. Here and there I s till wear jordans and dunks but not as much anymore. I keep buying more designer and less of everything else. I've been rocking a lot of plain polo v necks. The soft cotton ones... easy to put a fit together and go.

@23soles yessir.. copped the m4 10 days ago. Thing is fire. I told u I was serious. Lol
