These actually made me do a double take, I need my glasses on.. for a split second I thought that was a filter or very poor quality shot of the tortoise shells :nerd:

Well, that does it! Lol, Skates are off the list.

I love the skates, but the blister was bad not worth it

It's true, Why spend money to be in discomfort and get blisters, not worth it. |I

Thanks for the help with the skates guys. As much as I want to scratch that itch, like KingSchultz said more than a few stories of them causing bleeding and blistering just all points to a bad idea. Money saved... For now lol

You could have a different experience you never know, but this is not a shoe that I would purchase online given these concerns.

Got a question for someone more familiar with boots/cobblers. So I took my jodhpurs to get protective soles on them and the suede ones came out perfect but the black leather ones are kinda weird. The uppers were in 100% perfect condition, only worn 3-4 times carefully so I know this wasn't there. When I got them back they were very oily/ greasy feeling and if I rubbed them with my hand it would get black flakey pigment on it. Then in one particular spot around where the sole connected to the upper there was just stuff that didn't look right. I could kinda peel it off like a latexy kinda material. Now there's some spots that are flat/matte and the rest is shinier with a sheen to it. Was this stuff around the edges just like a glue residue? I was kinda thinking that they hit the uppers with the dremel used to take of the excess of the sole protector on accident and ****** up the leather. Then they tried to polish over it to make it look like nothing happened. Could someone give me an opinion on this? Hopefully it's just like glue residue or something I just really can't figure out why they even touched the leather uppers.

A Second opinion on this situation, my opinion is either..

A. A Sloppy job, finish was done.
B. The above plus, Someone screwed up.. damage was caused and then rather than come clean they tried to cover their tracks.

Your concerns are definitely valid, I would be upset, given your descriptions of before and after, but I never saw a picture of before, only after, so keeping that in mind.. but seeing as you have no reason to lie about the condition the shoes were in before hand, I would be very upset that someone took money off me to do this to my shoes. :smh:

Luckily all my farfetch pairs shipped that were from individual boutiques. Got the Raf Stans for 192, can't beat that. Both my SLP fringe should be here this week, hopefully in time for my vegas trip this weekend.

Again, thanks to whoever posted the link and i'm excited for all the sales coming up...i'm hoping we see more boots go on sale seeing as it's summer soon.
Sorry, haven't been keeping up with this thread in a while. Where did you get the Rafs for 192, and how much were the SLPs? Thank you

Everything as mentioned was from Farfetch, I paid 650 for the tan and 560 for the black and they had red, grey, navy and the white/green raf's for 192.

I wear a 44 in Balenciaga Arenas, 11.5 in Nikes, and 45 in Margiela...read online that I would need a 43 in the Pleated Balenciaga model.  That sound right?  Not a 44 like the Arena?

Some say size down 1 whole size from your true size, some say true to size, I don't own a pair of pleateds highs but I do own a pair of the perforated highs, now the site suggests sizing down 1 whole size from your true size, as the shoe runs large. given that the perforateds are just a new take on the same old silhouette as the pleateds, I would assume the same rules would apply. But I could be wrong..

Now from my personal experience, I bought the perforated highs and I sized down 1 whole size from my true size as advised and experienced a bit of tightness in only one of the toe boxes, on the top of my left foot, there was no issues in the toes length or width, there was plenty of room. But the shoes did rub on me to the point of me aquiring painful blisters on the side of both my heels. the shoes also bled and left a red dye (not blood) on my white socks at the areas where the shoe rubs.

To resolve these issues, I got one of those wooden shoe trees (which only stretch width ways and not length ways also) as I could not find one that done both, and I managed to stretch the shoes and fix the toe box problem, I then wore a plaster on each heel where the shoe rubs, on my next wear, I walked around for 3 hours and I experienced no pain, discomfort or blisters, but again after my wear I had red dye bleeding on the white socks where the shoe has been rubbing, now I'm sure the shoe is not too small for me as I have plenty of room in the toes and width also, the shoe is not tight on me, so i believe this is just a poorly padded/designed shoe when it comes to the heel.

so I would say in my case I could have stayed true to size and MAYBE that would solve the heel issue, but I would then be left with ALOT of length room in the toes, if I could go down half a size down from my true size I think the shoe would be perfect, maybe it would still rub idk, but balenciaga doesn't make half sizes, go figure. Balenciaga is all out of whack with their sizing in my opinion and when charging the prices that they do, having these issues is unacceptable for me.

Now bear in mind, this is just my experience and an issue I encountered with the Perforated highs not the Pleateds highs, which is the same silhouette but a different design. With that being so.. the Pleateds are a much nicer shoe and to my knowledge I have yet to hear anyone experience any issues with them at all.

Or for that matter, anyone other than me, that has experienced a heel issue with the perforated highs..

Is there anyone in here that has bought the perforated highs and sized 1 size down from their true size, that cares to comment on their experience?

Maybe it's just me they don't work for, I don't know.

If I bought a pair of pleated highs in the future I would probably stick with my true size for fear of experiencing the same problem I have had with the perforateds, it's like they designed the heel to be too tight and rub whilst managing to have an excess amount of length room in the toes, I just followed the balenciaga sizing suggestion, It didn't work out for me at all. Very uncomfortable.

To be honest, I would rather buy slp and margiela, much more comfortable, less bulky, sleeker designs but that's just me.

I hope this helps you.

nooo....if ur 44 arenas are good stay with 44. The sole is exactly the same on both shoes. So the length is the same but the arenas are wider/roomier. Imo pleateds fit half a size smaller if not th same as arenas.

Anyone noticed SSense is shipping with UPS now instead of USPS for US customers? In other words, we might need to start paying for customs for merchandise over $200.

Barney's got the CP Chelsea's in this morning at the Beverly Hills store, already copped my pair FYI for anyone interested.

Mine also shipped via Canada Post. I hope not - ordered two sizes to determine what fits me best and might end up returning both if neither works out. How would I get my money back from customs in that case?

Good to hear they still ship via canada air, maybe my order was under $200 so they don't have to worry about customs when shipping UPS.
