I just got it this Monday, so I've yet to try it out, but it's shipped directly from the retailer and you ship back to the retailer, so it shouldn't be an issue.

For me, the thing that makes it attractive is to not have the commitment of an actual purchase when trying out an item. 

If I ever need to figure out sizing, on the fence about an item, or just need to feel something in person, I'll use it.

On the subject of Visvim, I have a friend going to Japan in a couple months, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience buying Visvim in Japan?

I bought a pair of FBTs back in 2008 from Union LA for I think $550 which was the typical US price. Now it's $650-$700 or so.

I'm looking at the Visvim site now, and if you're buying in Japan the cost is 46,000 Yen, which is only about $370. Are prices really that much better in Japan?

They're a domestic product in JP.

And I know nothing about Visvim in Japan but if your friend is going and willing to look out, I'd GREATLY appreciate help securing a pair. Hopefully, prices are really that low there.
 
Hey boss i'm thinking about getting a pair of those Rick Owen X Adidas Runners online, I wanted to ask you how's the sizing on them? Run Big, small, or TTS?

echau, Since Visvim are from Japan, its always cheaper to buy from there. Also because the yen is so week right now compare to USD, perfect time to buy.

I'm just suggesting Mr. Porter as an option to resolve the sizing issue. I never knew the free try service existed but that is a good alternative too.

Orrr just suffer asking for size advice on a forum and get conflicting answers. Risk ordering the wrong size. We've all done it multiple times and probably will continue to do so. Sometimes it pays off and you get good sizing advice, which is why a guide really could be helpful (if done correctly). Just seems like a lot of work.

I have the older in brown and newest in ardoise and they fit exactly the same

Ok first off I dont have a physical store that carries SLP in Michigan, second im using somebodies associate discount so that mean I would have to bother them to take time out their day to make the return if the sizing is not right so I'm trying to make this a one trip thing. And 3rd i don't care if I did have $1000+ to play with and order multiples just to see the sizing, that's a waste of time and I still don't want any of my money tied up no matter how much money I have available....it's easier to ask a question get different opinions and then make your choice based off those opinions

My friend is going in October, but I think he probably only has room to bring a pair or two back. Not even sure what would be available locally or which store to ask him to go to. I'll probably ask him to take pics.

If you give Try a shot before me, let us know how it goes. I know my sizing in most brands so it's more for me to check out stuff I'm on the fence on.

I have the tech runners and I bought my usual Adidas size.

Good point, you're right about the weak yen.
 
im trying to bring my sneaker collection/rotation down to 10-15 pairs. i wonder if there's room for these.

gucci, slp, visvim

a fringe must be had

I couldn't agree more. SL/10H fit at least 0.5 big. I made the mistake of getting a size 42 (i'm a true 9) and I have 3/4 of an inch of space lol.

I was told half size down but I only have the option of full sizes, so I'm just going to go tts I rather it too big than too small with my toes crumbled

I'm a 9.5 and wear a 42 in them so half size down.

Someone else asked about the Rick Owens Adidas those run big as well. Half size down on those too.
