FOG

Those FOG joints look interesting. RO-esque, but a different vibe. Can't wait for more details even though I don't need to spend more money on shoes.

This question has probably been asked before but does Jason Markk repel  work well?

Anyone ever buy/ get an item from Russia? I bought a pair of SLP leather cowboy boots off of grailed a few weeks ago. On grailed it said the seller was from Europe but the shoes ended up shipped from Russia. Last scan was on the second saying its preparing to leave. Tracking ever since been that. Seller says they likely stuck in customs but I don't know what the deal is. I never had anything sit for weeks and weeks. If I had known he was from Russia, I would never have bought them. I started a dispute on PayPal but not sure if I should escalate it to a claim yet. I know PayPal takes a while to investigate so thinking of going that route if they don't show up in tracking tomorrow. I don't want to wait months which seems like the case for things coming from Russia.
u gotta give them some time. Sometimes when it transfers to usps it doesn't get like scanned in and it can take weeks in customs. I just had to file a claim for some slp jeans and I won the claim easily but I think with foreign purchases u need to give it a month at least.

Yea I'm seeing that. I think I pissed the seller off with constant questions on updates or if he can see anything on his end. If I knew he was in Russia I wouldn't have bought them though. With how USA relations are with them, hard to imagine a smooth transaction.

how dare they step up to Jerald Da Gawd

The thing is, fog materials aren't any different than h&m. Say what you say, when you handle them, examine the fabric quality, the finnishes, much of Zara pieces are superior to FoG. Zara has an amazing supply chain, infinite resources, and they've grown to be the biggest fashion brand not without a reason. Basicly FoG is zara quality with surrealist prices one, because they know *******s will buy it anyway, two, because of the lack of the resources they pay much more for the same quality of manufacturing.

Everything about fog is cringeworthy. Even more cringeworthy are people who point out brands "copying fog". Show me one "original" thing about it, and I'll show you where it's copied from. Wake up. FoG is nothing else than a overpriced fabrixsquare for sheepish mentality people who are refusing to learn.

But I guess that's a good niche to profit on.

my love story with fashion is more so the marketing aspect of it.

while inherently that paragraph makes a great point regarding resources, production, and accessibility, that means nothing to most people. Moreover, one can place that same argument towards any expensive brand versus fast fashion... and i don't mean established fashion houses.

acne studios, john elliott, etc. are examples of modern "more expensive" brands who's success is not a result of the quality of their clothing but rather skillful marketing and being able to etch out a niche in an ever growing world of fashion.

but if we really want to touch on quality. people currently suck off the SLP AJ1 rip offs right? tell me how "high quality" there leather is...

f-boi and cringeworthy? sounds like a KTT member.

by the way, i can't get a good grasp on my impressions of the FoG sneaker yet, bc the side zip clashing with the denim's side zips are creating an illusion of one giant zipper.

lastly, Jerry made an excellent comment about his interpretation of past sneakers. However, he made a comment he should've kept to himself. bad form. goes against marketing.

i may have horrible fashion sense, but i have an eye for marketing/advertising lol

Marketing/Advertising really is a big deal I agree. There are soooooo many brands these days. Countless, handmade in house Paris brands to smaller Companies in the states all with same to very similar looks.

Since I'm pretty much a bum with a fixator on my leg gonna have to start posting some some things like that, Instagram I got a site thats exactly like FOG rocker vintage tees besides saying " Fear of God" on them, and how common is a oversize distressed sweatshirt now a days?

His Jeans from 4th collection coming out I've seen better DIY work and he throws an inner zipper I bet they will cost more than SLP denims. Which can be found easy also to be honest.

that's the main issue. too many people cannot decide if they want the look or the name.

shoot me that site.

for me, if i can make it look good high end or HM, i'm rocking.

these fashion brands aint paying me to wear their clothes.

i just like what he's doing.

literally taking old concert tees and screen printing three words to be able to upcharge? that's the american dream my friend
