Got these the other day from MrPorter, wasn't gonna buy these boots before because I'm not too crazy about their shape. But I have to say this is a really nice colorways. In a way, they are very similar to CP chelseas, but with better suede. As I said before initially wasn't gonna buy these boot because of the shape and the round toe box, but it doesn't bother me as much in person. One thing that bothers me the most is that the shaft of the boots are kinda flat instead of round (Maybe because they are still new and have been sitting in the box for too long?) so my jeans sits weird on top of them.

my conclusion is, they are nice boots, very well made with excellent material, it's just that they are nothing special lets say compare to CP chelsea. Still debating if I should keep them so any advice, opinions are welcome.

i think they are great and better than the CP chelsea tbh but all matter of opinion

obviously the cw is agreat also

They are nice but are just so blah IMO. I have the CP and just wish they had something unique going on. Maybe like interchangeable elastic sides with different colors and textures.

i wish that code worked at barneys

What makes CP's chelsea special?

Imo, nothing special about the CP chelsea. Material, fit and finish BV came on top no doubt. But both shoes are still very similar. CP being 1/2 the price of the Bottega is a better choice for some which is understandable. I personally like BV better, they have a little more characteristic than the CP imo, just not sure if they are $400 better.

Totally agree, the BV's beat CP's on nearly all aspects but $400 more? I don't know. The shape of BV's is still iffy sometimes. Something about the toffee color though makes them great to me. My espresso BV's are cool too but to the typical person those could be Clarks easily.

Kev, the shaft is flat and admittedly awkward, you're right and unfortunately that won't change- at least mine didn't. I kind of like how it makes my denim sit thiugh. Also, I didn't forget to hit you back, crazy busy with work.

agreed.

Looks like Barney's sale is starting on Tuesday.

Also, whoever said you don't get hit with customs from Vsivim, FALSE.

I owe $140 for my two pairs. Customs fees are the worse.

Sunny, great photo! All good buys- The red splatter MMM's are so nice to me. Still sorry I passed during a deep discount

Haha, definitely don't "save" during those sales unless you only buy what you've been holding off on but if you're like me (and presumably Sunny), you start buying random pieces because the deal is just too good! Lol

Feature LV has a bunch of Raf Simons Adidas on sale. Use code Sale for 30 percent of the sale price. About $207. I'm not a fan but maybe you guys need one.

Thanks Kevin and Nick. Funny you both mention those two shoes as they are both favorites of my collection. The Problem I run into is that I just don't have time to wear a ton of different shoes. My plan is to just stick to ones that I absolutely want from now on. Also, I need to have more balance with my cloths and shoes and have them work better together.

And those are just holiday sale pickups. Mike's clearly sitting on a vast collection of diverse heat over there.

And I'm the same way with clothes. It's just so much fewer clothing options that interest me compared to shoes.

Toffees again today. It's getting cold in Chicago, had to pull out the down jacket. I'm going going to try to start taking better photos soon.
