I taper my jeans from 19cm at the knee to 15.5cm at the hem.

Usually I just find a pair that fit in the waist and thighs and taper from the knee down. 
 
I couldn't be happier with these purchases, got both for $300 total!  The red is aiiiiiiiite but it'll do good for beaters
