soleseeker, i need those!! my size too... ugh.

by the way, i think OG 1's are usually wearable because the midsoles are rubber and not foam, correct?

^Yeah OG 1s have very strong midsoles. The only thing i would be careful of, is the back paint on 1s such as the metallics chipping off if you wear them withjeans.

^Correct. The polyurethane mid-soles of Air Jordans II and beyond made the shoes lighter but also more susceptible to cracking and breaking due to its specificproperties.

AirJordanJack - Yup, that's exactly what happened to my metallic 1's. It started to crack on the ankle lining after a few wears. I don't mind itthat much because I wanted to wear them and I knew the risks involved. I just wish I laced them up a little looser, lol. Perhaps that could have stop it fromcracking, who knows.

Thats for confirming uknowndonti. You have any other suggestions on how to make sure the metallic paint doesn't chip? I am searching hard for a couplepairs of metallics. They are at the top of my "to get" list so any info on how not to ruin them is apritiated.

^I remember Phase replied in the "AJKO's and OG 1's who has the rarest ones?" post that you shouldn't wear them with pants and suggestedonly with shorts. I'm not quite sure what difference this will make but if Phase says it then I would definitely heed his advice. I would say be aware ofhow you walk and sit so as not to put pressure on the ankle collar because that would crack the paint. So I would say lace them a little loose just to giveyour ankle some room to move without stretching the ankle collar. As far as finding a pair, hit up the bay. That's your best bet and that's where Ifound my pair. Well that and perhaps someone here on NT will sell you a pair.

As always, everything depends on how it was stored and whether the previous owner took care of them. And one more thing, for AJKO's you should wear blacksocks because the ankle foam is made of a material that easily flakes away and falls unto the shoe's insole. After a casual wear, I will find black duston my white socks, which there is nothing you can do about it, it's just how the foam deteriorates.

I would recommend revisiting that thread as it has a lot of useful information pertaining to OG 1's and how to wear them. Hope this helps.

uknowdonti - I have read over that thread many times through. The best thread on NT(besides this one of course

). I remember phase saying the same thing. Itis because the pants can irritate and chip off the paint on the back. I found a pair of dark blue metallics on ebay for a good deal, but didn't bid becausemy computer was acting up and i am looking for other colors. Thanks for the extra info. I will continue my search!
