And i'm sure most here don't know the character but this Medicom RAH Guts is a dream figure for me.

Worked out a trade for Fan Toys Soar for my MP-2 Ultra Magnus.

For some reason I opened this one right away (I still have to open up Scoria). Awesome figure. I'm pretty pleased with Soar. Can't wait to get Sever (Snarl) now.

First time popping in this thread, figured I'd share a quick pic I took last night. Received my Sideshow R2 yesterday and it's top notch as always.

R2's head lights up and the holo Leia lights up as well. Only thing missing is some sound effects.

The Hot Toys version is definitely gonna come with those sound effects

Birthday gift from my brother:

Might just bite on this line after all. Only things that were holding me back were the mix of older animation style with new (I prefer the old) and I heard the qc on the figs weren't the greatest.

Did robotech take that design from transformers or vice versa?

The vf.

Macross actually. There's a whole backstory to it, and a reason why the G1 cartoon SKYfire looks different from the G1 JETfire toy.

The first two years of Transformers toys were figures taken from older Japanese toylines, primarily Takara's Diaclone and Microman lines. 1985, however, saw several figures reused from lines created by Takatoku Toys, of which Jetfire was one — that of the VF-1S Super Valkyrie Fighter from the Macross series. This figure was one of the most articulated of the early Transformer toys, featuring fully poseable shoulder, hip, elbow and knee joints, and even poseable sacroiliac joints. The instruction manual for the toy even included the GERWALK mode designed for the Macross version of the toy, which was used in that animated series, and seen briefly in the Transformers season 2 episode "The Day of the Machines".
Problems over the Jetfire toy began when Bandai absorbed Takatoku Toys, and Macross regained popularity, leading to Bandai's desire to reproduce the Valkyrie toy themselves. This led to problems for Takara when they imported the Transformers toyline — although Hasbro was able to market the Jetfire toy in their markets, Takara was not, nor could they promote it via the animated series, since the mold was owned by their main competitor. Although an animation model had been created for Jetfire based on the appearance of the toy (which could be seen in the original toy commercial advertising the figure), this was quickly abandoned and completely redesigned so as to no longer resemble the Valkyrie. This was the design that went on to feature in the comics and cartoons.
Jetfire only saw a few American production runs, as the show the original toy was based upon, The Super Dimension Fortress Macross, was exported to America to become the first third of Robotech. Ironically, since Hasbro released Jetfire first, there was never a U.S. release of an authentic transforming version of the toy for Robotech, even though the design was the series' most recognizable and popular mecha. As with other pre-Robotech borrowings from Macross (for instance, Battletech), the licensing situation for the toy became murky with two different companies (Big West and Tatsunoko Production) asserting exclusive rights to license Macross merchandise outside Japan. Due to these legal issues, Jetfire has not been among the Transformers toys reissued in the 21st century.
This toy is patented in the U.S. as patent number D287037.

Of course I had to add a little cash to make it fair for him lol I wish I was able to do a straight trade.

nice pics, Breezy. I'm trying to stick to just MP's but there's a lot of good stuff coming out, especially after the NYToy Fair today.

When I first got back into TFs, I told myself I'd stick to MPs as well but it's been difficult. A lot of cool non-MPs out there.

Nice R2 @JayPesoz

What other 1/6 SW Sideshow do you have?

I always tell myself I'm not going to buy too many other than my favorite characters but I end up caving from time to time

. Wasn't going to get the TIE Fighter Pilot but ended up pre-ordering anyways.

I'm sitting at both Vaders (ANH and deluxe ROTJ), Boba, Yoda, and R2. Really wish I had the Emperor + throne but didn't feel like blowing $500 when it came out.

Thanks, Van Nostrand Van Nostrand As far as Sideshow SW, I only collect the Troopers. The only non-Trooper I have is Palpatine and his throne, actually. And ROTS Yoda. I'm really excited for the TIE FIghter Pilot, Scout Trooper, and X-Wing Luke this year but haven't even PO'd any of them yet

It looks like you only collect the OT figs but their Clones are amazing. This new Rex is hands down, my most favorite one yet and Echo and Fives are probably my most two anticipated figures of the year.

Awesome stuff, thanks for sharing.

I actually have a lot of non-Sideshow SW stuff (both trilogies), but yeah my Sideshow collection is only OT. Those Troopers are really nice, for sure. Like I said I try not to buy too many Sideshow just because they are pretty expensive and I don't have the space for a bunch of them.

I hear that. I've never had a problem with space until my wife and I found out we're gonna have our first kid this year. I'm actually about to start a purge of my collection soon since I'll be losing my display room for now. I'll probably only keep three or four detolf's worth of stuff and just get rid of the rest of my collection. I just don't know where to start

@JayPesoz  looking good! You got many Hot Toys besides the Star Wars ones? I almost pulled the trigger on an Aldo Raine from Inglourious Basterds the other day on eBay, but got too pricey.

If you're liquidating any of your Hot Toys collection feel free to let me know
