It's stories like this that really shows what a community is all about. Niketalk is more than just a sneaker forum. It's a community of different types of people coming together and collectively sharing interesting and inputs on different things.

You story is much appreciated, OP and I wish you nothing but the most success in life.

Like some people have said earlier, don't sell yourself short. You put in the work and you wouldn't be where you are today with your drive and hard work.

Thanks for sharing your story and not only inspiring me, but I'm sure you've inspired others as well.

METHOD MAN is that dude.

I commend him for his efforts in taking care of this community.

As busy as he is.... He has always taken the time out to give me HONEST and great advice on any questions I've approached him with.... Even when none of it related to sneakers

Thanks again METH. I appreciate you sir.

You have no idea how much I needed this today.  Seriously.

I think, in truth, all of us (or, at least, all of us with an ounce of sincerity), can see that your success had virtually nothing to do with me and everything to do with your talent and drive.  The willingness to reach out to others for their input and assistance is, itself, a rare and essential skill.  Most people, unfortunately, would not have the courage or the motivation to sincerely ask for advice, even in a peer setting like ours.  If anything, that, and not I, played an important role in enabling your well-deserved success.

You were in a tough spot and that's when your character is truly tested, not during moments of relative comfort.  The results have only validated the resilience and resolve that so impressed me all those years ago.

I appreciate the kind, generous words and I'm truly heartened to learn that all of your perseverance has paid off.  That's honestly made my day.

I hope this thread reminds everyone reading that none of the insults, staged conflicts, grandstanding, empty flattery, or desperate attention seeking people so often adopt to make their online existence meaningful can compare to the intrinsic reward we get when we interact in supportive and collaborative ways - when we all walk away feeling better for the experience.  That's when we can really feel like we're a part of something larger, that we're all enhanced and strengthened by working together toward common goals.  I'm so glad to see that you value the concept of community just as much as I do - and to see you back on NikeTalk.  That's something that even Yuku can't counterfeit.

Today, your act of kindness raised my spirits and I sincerely hope that our fellow members are inspired by your example.

Much respect.

It made my day knowing that I made yours, Meth.

To go off what you said.. I hope everyone takes notes on this, but please, please, please do NOT be afraid to ask for help. As MM said, it really is in itself an essential and wonderful skill to have. If Meth would have declined to respond to my email or help me out.. so what? It wouldn't have hurt me to ask. But I did and it worked out wonderfully. When you ask questions, when you ask for help, it shows that you care. It shows your drive, your desire, your will to succeed. Don't be afraid, you have NOTHING to lose.

One thing we always hear about is the importance of networking. When utilized correctly, Niketalk is not only the ultimate sneaker community.. it can prove to be the ULTIMATE networking tool. Maybe you don't realize it, but the people on this board are A LOT alike. We get each other. It is why people become "friends" and share bonds without ever meeting each other. It is indeed what makes this a COMMUNITY. There are some wonderful people on this board. Very bright, intelligent, genuinely good people. If we can help each other and mutually benefit from each other, the possibilities can be endless. The network here among the members truly has an endless outreach. I hope I am just one of many that will benefit from what NT has to offer.

Very glad I took a few minutes to read this thread.  Congratulations to you and much respect to Meth.
