STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

quick question for yall:

if someone was a state champ in their sport, are you impressed with that? i’m not talking high school or anything like that. i’m mean in the open division.

like a state champ wrestler
state champ bjj
state champ powerlifter

in their respective weight class
it's a bragging right. unless I'm involved into their kind of discipline, I would just say, OK ! but if I have the same interest as the person, I would be impressed. some wimmin for example liked my hulking size coupled with my facial appearance. sports achievements though is not much unless your crowd is part of the college groupie generation. my generation though composed of early middle age group which are more concerned about your economic status, personality and hobbies that can be of their interest. some of the younger group prefer what you can still do at your current age as was when you were in your 20s.

primarily saying, it's about age and interest group as well. just lucky enough that I encounter some people that have the same interests.

Yea. I do cardio a few times a week. I've been here before and I know that I'll have to restrict my caloric intake a bit further. But as I've gotten older I'm just unwilling to do it....for now.
it's quite challenging I agree. my body is not the same as well. I know my built is different now than 10 years ago. I accept that. I wasn't particularly huge to begin with but once I increased my workload, that's how my appearance really dramatically changed. as far as being older is concerned, slower metabolism, genetics and lifestyle could impact all of these things. I was at my slimmest when I was only doing mostly cardio which where basically jogging and lap swimming (timed and endurance). I think I registered at 143lbs in my late 20s and 160 at my early 30s.

caloric intake alone won't do it for me, so I have to mix it up with cardio again. no jogging since my knee is messed up so it's basically swimming but with certain limitations.
