So, yesterday I incline DB press 110lbs for 4. My strength is surely going up. I'm not sure when I'll be going back to flat bench. I'm still looking for a good pair of wrist wrap.

I've heard Inzer are top notch. I have some GASP ones now. They've lasted me for over a year. I paid around $19 off BB.com.

I don't know if it's a good price, but GNC sent me a pamphlet. They have boxes of quest bars for sale. 2 for $48.

+ 1 for caffeine. I use Prolab too, just finished a bottle of the "Ad*****d" caffeine. Caffeine is from diff sources than the regular formula.

Played racquetball with my buddy yesterday, was really fun. Going to get a racket this morning and start playing on the reg. I need more functional exercise in my regiment and thought this was perfect. Anyone here play?

Man i told you to get the Titans they are the ****. Some people like Mark Bells Gangsta wraps, but you gotta be a big boy for those, they 36in.
 
I tried those Gangsta wraps today. I wrapped em tight, and couldn't even fully flex my forearm. They're legit.

I personally wouldnt get them unless I was moving 3 plates and up for reps or just had huge wrists.

18-24in would be ideal for most people on here in my opinion. 
 
Yeah, I was thinking about ordering em till I realized it might actually hinder me when I get to heavier weight. I tighten my wraps as tightly as possible... With those, my forearm couldn't be fully flexed while benching.

I'm looking at another set of GASP wraps that are 18"...$24. My current ones are like black, and yellow and only 12".

I've had a mild case of carpal tunnel for years of typing jobs. Wrist wraps just prevent wrist pain for me, so I use em.

I see em, but I usually don't bother em for the most part. I go to the gym to better myself, so I try to focus on that.

Yeah my Titans are 18 and they work great. I also have those same black/yellow ones and they suck lol

I have some wrist pain, possibly tendonitis, and it helps with the discomfort.

Romaleos are a game changer bro, prepare to be very happy and want to squat all day errrday.

My chucks came in the mail and damn these things really run a full size up. Gotta exchange them..

Smolov has a **** ton of volume. 

My bench is moving slow as **** man, might have to change it up soon.
 
Bro. I've been down that same ******* road and if I could do it again, i'd hit the weights. Hard as ****.
I started lifting but honestly, I dont know what the hell Im doing. My small gym in my condo doesnt have everything. They have a lot of free weights, one or two curl bars, squat rack and a couple of machines with weights. Im going through each page to see if someone post good information or advice on what type of exercise to do while lifting.

i think the misconception is that everyone wants a lean and muscular body. if his goals are just to slim down and he's not even lifting, i think it's ok so long as his health and quality of life is being adversely impacted. if he wanted to build his physique, now would be the time to adjust his diet and get on a good lifting routine but if he's simply dropping pounds, he's probably doing it right. we could quibble about calorie amount but that wouldn't mean too much. he can always change it up later if his goals change.
I have many goals,
First goal was to set an example to my kids. RE teaching them the correct way to eat (they are not following my juice routine. I feed them healthy foods though). We were used to eating out all the time and eating unhealthy foods. Feeding your children all that processed food is not a good way to raise your children.

2nd goal is to slim down. When I began, my weight was at 248, Im now down to 217 and my goal is to be 180 by June. I might not reach it because I want to start lifting weights and lifting weights gains muscle and muscle = pounds in a good way. And being at 180 without any muscle does not look right. I want to have a tone body and not look like Im sick.

3rd goal- get toned up. I want to have a nice chest, abs and arms. I would like to wear to tang top without having to worry about my fat sticking out. Before, Always had loosen up my shirt because I felt like it was too tight. It really wasnt, it was just my insecurity.


I agree. The misconception is that folks think they will "accidentally" get brolic just by lifting regularly. They don't know how much dedication goes behind it.

I was more or less like you, DJ. Except I didn't juice. I went from 220 lbs to 145 lbs or so by practicing Muay Thai. We did a lot of cardio, sparring and old school routines. I didn't lift weight until I severely injured myself and joined 24 Hr Fitness to continue the active lifestyle. If I can redo it, I would've lifted from the start.
Being active is what I need to do. Im not a morning person so waking up early in the AM to work out is hard for me to do. Id would rather much workout at night than the AM. At work theres not much I can do to be active. I work an 8-5 at a law firm. I try to not stay seated as much and move around a lot of heavy boxes through out the day. At home is where I need to be more active especially with my boys.

Why would you say that? What do you suggest I eat?

Juicing is great if you want to drop weight, obviously.

However, it will not lead to an ideal physique. It will make you lose weight fast, your skin doesn't have time to adjust, leaving you with a lot of loose (flab) skin. The weigh lifting route is much slower, but if it's aesthetics you want, it's well worth it.

Seen a lot of big dudes juice and drop weight, however their bodies are not flattering (droopy man boobs, stretch marks), so they still feel uncomfortable taking their shirt off.
Thats why I want to lift some weights so I dont look like one of those guys you mentioned. I dont want to be like those people who had a Gastric Bypass Surgery and after a month they have all that nasty skin hanging.

Besides, Juicing is giving me all the minerals I need. I eat broccoli, chicken, turkey, nuts and anything that has protein to get my protein.

If your over 200lbs and not getting at least 2k calories good luck.

That's definitely not healthy.

Do ur self a favor and re-feed your body by eating some food you enjoy today. Pizza, sub, friend chicken, burgers etc. u need it brah.
Why would I do that? I ate fried fish and it got me sick. I cant eat all that greasy unhealthy stuff now, it will send my body into shock again. Ill eat a turkey burger, carne asada or chicken once in a while. I gave up anything with flour in it

so eating pizza and tacos are out of the questions, even rice is out. But yeah greasy food is not my friend.

Purchase 1 size smaller on the Chucks, and metabolic damage is not a myth. Maybe starvation mode as it seems to be described there, but slowing your metabolism and decreasing leptin levels while on a reduced calorie diet and catabolism are all real. Like dude said, at the least have a cheat or high calorie or refeed or whatever you need to call it day. I also would be interested to see once you reach your goals and return to a normal diet, if you'd gain all that weight back quickly as is usually the case with unsustainable, fad style diets.
Like I said above, having a cheat day will mess up my body and I definitely dont want to go through it.

I dont want to be one of those cases where I lose mad wight and gain it all back and some. There was a lot of people who wanted me to fail and would bring joy if I did. Thats why this weight is never coming back.

All I need to do now is continue eating healthy but being more active than what I was before.

THe funny thing is that those people who wanted me to fail are now trying the juicing stuff. But a lot of them do not have the will power.

i was one of the first ones in that juicing thread to say it was stupid and yeah i'm pretty sure libido will drop as well as test levels but like i said again, depends on his goals. drop a ton of weight and see immediate results can motivate further change. i'd do it differently but everyone doesn't have to take the exact same path to reach their goals. i'd def advise against doing it for a long period of time and yes, a refeed day/weekend would be a great idea. at least if he does get a boner his **** can reach with the belly out of the way and he'll probably be able to pump more than a few times before getting winded.
Dropping weight has motivated me (and the best part) has motivated other especially family members. Also has change my look on food.

The reasons i quoted is because of your last sentence. The sex has been beyond great ever since I dropped weight. That alone has motivated me to lose even more weight :lol:

I took week 7 off to give my body a break. Starting back today doing 2-a-days for one week just to see how my body reacts from it.
