^^yes. I do them after regular squats a little heavier and sit, pause, then drive. I think they help both my form and power out of the hole.

Gonna hit the gym today... but will have to go easy.. still only at about 80%
 
Yeah every time Ive seen someone doing them they always just bounce off it. 

They're actually more beneficial to guys who use squat suits then for raw training. Just do pause squats for a 3 count in the hole and explode up, just make sure you keep good tight form and don't let your hips rise before your shoulders.
 
i do box squats 2 ways. 1) is to barely touch it - more using the box as a gauge of my depth. 2) pause and explode. never bounce. that sounds bad for the back/neck actually.
 
I've had sciatica from a herniated disc, was some of the wort pain I've ever had. It is usually caused by hernicated discs, joint inflammation or other issues in the lower spine.

Lets bounce off the box and compress our spine between hundreds of lbs of weight.... no thanks.

I know it's been talked about before, but could some of you that have tried IF share your results/stories? Considering doing it to help cut 5-10 pounds. I'm 6'2", 215, and fairly strong and athletic, so I don't have a lot to lose and am looking for a more efficient way to do it than just normal calorie reduction.
 
Y'all got any good ab work out routines? I need a good routine i can stick too after leg days. I'm just sorta doing random ish every day haha

All I do is hanging overhead leg raises and planks supersetted. 10 raises and 35-40secs plank. I do about 5-8 sets.

Love using an EZ bar with 25lbs on each size attached to a cable.

Use an ankle strap, strap it in the middle of the bar, put the pin at about 30-40lbs and get going.
