STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

While my gym isn't specifically for x-fit, they do have x-fit "certified" trainers who offer classes as part of your monthly dues. It's MUCH cheaper than paying $125-$150 for a x-fit specific gym.

A good gym is a good gym, and good gyms are going to have a higher price point to weed out people that are at the gym wasting time and taking up important equipment, aka squat racks.
ehhh i used to pay $130/month and the amenities were nice but there was one squat rack, 2 flat benches and tons of rich old people doing nonsense like this:

1000

salad in the snack bar was like $13

Don't understand how anyone can do xfit workouts at a regular gym. One person alone can command anywhere from 2-3 equipment/stations/weights for one workout, and if you're teaching 5-6 ppl the amount of space you need adds up.

It's hard enough already trying to commandeer a station or finding a set of weights, a barbell, etc. without xfit at a regular gym.

I'd imagine a lot of headaches for all parties involved.

Expensive gym =/= Good Gym...

Olympic Lifting Gyms
Barbell Clubs

Look into them, they're around.

Doubt they can replicate, but don't blame them for trying.

Me and the woman of 2.5 yrs split. Been eating like crap, drinking too much, all depressed, slacking at life overall. Need to get my damn head straight. Give me some words of motivation brethren.

Was able to harness the anger for my last deadlift session and pulled 350 x 4. Want to move up and pull 405 but I'm nervous I'll re-injure my back.

Also- figured out how to do muscle ups on a bar, was able to hit a few. Any tips or suggestions on perfecting them?

Bros,

I hurt my back again while squatting and deadlifting again.

Thought I was going to be able to work through the pain, but it's just getting worse.

Got my MRI results and I have 2 herniated discs.

What exercises can I do to to maintain my strength? My lifts aren't that strong...but it took me a long time to get to where I am.

Doctor told me to not lift and just let my body heal which can take anywhere from 3-6 months. I can't even imagine not going to the gym for a whole month and losing everything I worked for.

Don't be anti-social. Surround yourself with good people, find a gym partner. Get angry and hit it hard.

You really caught the feels with that video huh.

That one cut you deep.

Anyways, the video was really funny.

not really.. just a little.. even though he's funny and all... it still gives crossfit a bad rep.. and the majority of NT'ers in this thread feel the same way.. all i would tell you, is go check it out.. do it once, as a trial and tell me that you're not getting a better work out than just weights and then eliptical or treadmill..

Gym therapy, papi. I know so many dudes who break up with their SOs and just turn to the gym

For now, I'd take the time now to figure out the path you wanna go then work towards those goals.

I'd def like to do that sometime. I think you're close to me if I recall? I remember you and Bmoregutta talking about getting a lift in and I believe he's near Glen Burnie. I'm near White Marsh.

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the words of wisdom, the camadarie on here is great. This isn't my first rodeo but this one is really getting to me. Just needed to hear some lifting bros tell me to get my **** together and take it out on the weights.
