STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

I hear you guys on the tender back stuff. Deadlifted yesterday and then will do squats probably thursday or friday. Just enough time for my back to get back to normal and then it gets sore again. But i also use 0 accessories.
Anyone have some sort of dead-lift metric or goals. I have just recently started doing them and the heaviest i have gone is 235lbs. I still keep a traditional grip too. Is 315lbs a good goal? I am 6 foot about 175lbs. As the weight gets heavier i still have trouble dropping my hips i tend to default to using too much lower back. So i have been crawling up in weight the past couple workouts.

Drop the weight and focus on your form

Yup drop the weight and do higher reps and work on that form. Go up in weight when your confident in your form.

I also started doing deadlifts but I started with Romanian deadlifts for a more than a month, just to work on form and reps. Now I'm doing deadlifts and I just started doing 225lbs for reps working from 135lbs. I personally never have a weight goal in mind because my focus would be to put on more weight than practice form.

I just like to set mental goals just for myself to work toward. I don't ever drastically add weight at any point since i am always in the gym. I do 5 lb additions most of the time. I did 235lbs decently well. Back didn't hurt during the exercise just soar in the morning. I did 2 sets at 235, 5 reps each but didn't go any heavier. I basically still talk to myself every rep in my head for now, just to drop the hips push through my heals and squeeze the glutes at the top. When i do straight leg deaglifts i have to remind myself to push my rear out and keep the bar in tight. I have a tendency to just lean out on them. But i do straight leg deadlifts at 135lbs and strictly try to burn glutes.

Oh yeah I knew that. Just thought it was mainly for lower back. Thanks for clearing that up. I'm start doing Romanian dead lifts on leg days now.

I'm hit my chest today lets goooo Daul.

has anyone on here actually tried or are currently doing IF? how were the results?

I had amazing results with IF, I was doing every other day fasting. Its shreds you fast, but its takes focus,
My work schedule changed and I screwed it up.

How do you deal with a arm that is stronger than the other, this is something I ignored but its getting worse.

i was steadily losing 2# a week on IF. was eating from 3pm to 9pm. taking in about 2200-2500 heavy on protein but some junk food. zero strength loss. got bell's palsy and was super fatigued all the time. was barely making 3 short workouts a week. dropped IF because i didn't want to stress my body out and try to heal quicker. got better in a month and now that holidays are here, i'm eating whatever and not stressing about it. staying away from sweets as much as i can and eating brown rice or low carbs more often then not. workout hard 5x/week and i feel good. going to resume IF sometime next year

Thanks, I think the squeezing, can help, I dont do that at all

I ate ever other day, basically
Mine was extreme my main goal was fat loss.

I doubt you guys would want to do that because you are trying to build muscle, and its hard to build with that much of a calorie deficit

I got everything from this site. Most people do 16hr

http://www.leangains.com/

And these guys

Is there an alternate to Deadlifts? I was stretching and now I have a pain in my back, had to use machines today for most of my workout and leg press instead of squats.

Also I have some Dymatize Elite XT Vanilla and Blueberry Muffin Flavor protein, whats a good flavor or Greek yogurt to mix with? and should I do a 2 scoops in it? I`m doing IF so this is gonna be my before meal with a serving of almonds.

Need some advice. I was in great shape about 6 months ago. School started and I got a new job so I have been super busy. Now that the semester is over I'm looking to get back into it. I have gained some fat(way more than I wanted but I'd still consider myself in ok shape.) When I used to work out it was mainly just to lose weight so I ran a few miles everyday. this go around I'm looking to gain muscle only. Just wanting to bulk up. Should I still do cardio to burn off some of the excess fat or just start lifting? Im 6" about 185 or So.Thanks.

Today I started taking BioForge, a natural test booster. Will keep ya'll posted on results.

Can you give more insight on your fasting schedule? Thanks.
Also, a good way to balance the arm issue is different isolation workouts. It's normal for one arm to be stronger than another. But doing isolation curls and focusing on what you're doing, flexing, squeezing works wonders. Ironically my left arm is stronger than my right and I'm right handed.
Question. I get chipotle burrito bowls a lot. Does the guac kill gains? haha basically should i stop getting guac?
iLLest!

they have a calcuator on their website. I would just do rice beans chicken/steak and lettuce thats me though

:smokin DAMN!
Just bought a white ice nike fuel band today. kinda mehhhh so far. i'm getting points for folding laundry and texting. i feel like i'd get the same amount of points by benching heavy *** weights because it's based off of movement. same with calorie counter. so ehhhh. have until january 7th to return.

Damn isn't that jawn like $150?? It seems like it would only be good for cardio type exercises, idk how it would be able to tell you are lifting heavy *** weight

Always good stuff and advice in this thread. Proud to call this thread a little E-family I'm a part of.

What we're doing here, is chasing perfection.

Been doing it since June
I can't imagine going through my days without it now. #TeamEffBreakfast

Technically I was already doing a type of IF since I never ate breakfast in the first place and went straight to the gym when I wake up at around 7-8. Usually the hodgetwins don't give out useful advice, but their IF channel is great.
