Popped my shoulder out playing basketball about a month ago and it is still messed up. While its nowhere near as bad as it was back then I can't bench my normal weight without pain. Might have to see a doctors soon, no health insurance though :smh:

Never had a serious injury lifting (knock on wood please) but I've had a few playing sports

Torn ACL (basketball)
Separated AC joint (shoulder injury - basketball again)
Broken hand (basketball)
Torn hip flexor (not basketball, but was doing sprinting drills )

Recovering from the torn ACL sucked the soul out of me.

Recovering from the torn hip flexor was very weird. I treated it conservatively. I could jog and squat after a couple months but was scared to sprint all out for a yr

This whole non-dairy thing is rough at times. But clear skin and no stomach aches makes up for the food.....most of the time.
If you arent lactose intolerant an isolate or high quality blend should suit you fine. Crappy protein and gainer used to screw my stomach up too.

Thx for the advice fam, but I've given up dairy, not just lactose. One of the main reason I gave up dairy is bc of acne. Not a good look for my 20s. It's not the lactose that causes it. Gave it up 2 months ago, acne gone. I've cheated a few times, and it's straight stomach poisoning for like 3 hrs :x. Im done with dairy for a while, body doesn't lie. Beyond the skin it's forcing me to eat healthier.

No more late night entire carton of ice cream binges :smh:

What's wrong with syntha 6. I got like 5 tubs of it. It was on sale
Its just a shi*** protein imo. Its more of a meal replacement than lean protein. I buy protein for the..... protein. Syntha 6 is 47% protein by weight. So youre paying $xx for a tub, and only 47% of that powder is actually protein. Furthermore, I'm trying to figure out what portion of that 47% is even whey. From what I know, youd need more than 22gs of a whey concentrate/blend to yield 10gs of EAAs and 5gs of BCAAs, so the numbers dont add up.

/rant # 3 - sorry bros, no coffee yet.

Hit 185x5x3 and 200x1 on strict OHP today. Both PRs.

Physical Therapy if you want to make a living and open your own practice. PT school is tough. Like mini-med school.

The others have shorter routes but you have to hustle, it's an industry that will never go away but it's also swing or miss. In America there will always be people trying to get fit, people that get hurt trying to get fit...etc vicious cycle. Good luck. Not a bad path. Do something you love.
Thanks guys. Will definitely look into it

Standing military right? Bawse.
Yessir. Chasing that bodyweight PR now. Something about putting weight over your head just feels badass.

Its crazy how 5 pounds on certain lifts can make a huge difference. I hit 195 with relative ease and the 200 was a grinder.

Thats awesome man. Im admittedly terrible at OHP. Need to put some real work into them to get better.

I feel the same way about deadlifts. Afterwards and the next day they usually have me feeling primal as hell lol.

Thanks bros.

Matt Ogus is great at OHP. Dude is prolly around 180 or so and I saw him hit 235 for like 4 the other day.... Soon.

It takes awhile to progress on OHP, partially because of the muscles involved and you gotta have good form. Squeeze them cheeks lol

Omar has a good video on it.

DLs always make me feel alpha as well.

Man MPH changed the formula of dark matter and its horrible. Used to be my favorite pro-workout supp smh

im pissed
