QFT, all these sweets around the house during holidays is a big temptation. I'm a firm believer of out of sight out of mind and thats hard to do when staring at a pie or cake every time you walk in the house

obviously? sorry, but that is just generalizing.. you'd be surprised that some people that do crossfit can lift just as much if not heavier than body builders


You're doing some generalizing there yourself. How many crossfitters can bench 600+ lbs? Or squat 1000 lbs? They are a lot leaner, more athletic. Body builders are pure power. Like I said, different goals.

I know its just semantics, but bodybuilders have terrible power.
 
Gonna hit up the gym early tomorrow for chest and triceps. Was gonna go today after work, but I was exhausted so I decided to stay in and rest up for tomorrow.
 
I just dont like the idea of paying shipping multiple times. Really on the low I might still rocking with the Costco Multi vitamin, Fish oil, and protein

Whatever works for you. You don't need to get caught up in brands. All whey protein is pretty much the same. Same can be said about Muti and fish oil (to a point). I been sticking with the same 3 and I will be adding creatine for the 1st time and that is pretty cheap also.

I ready stuff about certain Multis having Crap ingredints, I use Optimen right now and was going to switch to Orange Triad because I hear great things and it has Joint stuff too.
 
Whats up with these squares in the gym I see shadow boxing? I swear ive seen 3 different dudes shadow boxing just this week and judging by their technique(I trained muay thai and boxing for 5 years) every single one of them has never trained a day in their lives. One guy who stands next to these beams and hits the pole like its a heavy bag and another who does some stupid *** taekwondo kicks on one of the cable machine grips lol wtf. They think they look tough or something.:smh:

Always appreciate people with that type of perseverance, you just can't help but admire that.
 
Went 3 days straight. Y'all think I should rest Christmas Eve or go for my 4 th straight day? I don't go I have to wait til wed

You know....I don't know about you guys, but realistically for me....I don't even try to diet during such a long holiday season anymore. It's 1 step forward and 2 back...I love food/friends/family too much to interrupt the fun with my more stringent dietary needs. As far as gains though....this is the season to be lifting heavy, esp with all them calories.
 
Good workout today but definitely some bad points...

No more cigarettes for me...I only smoke occasionally but today...it affected my performance. I was resting longer between sets because I couldn't catch my breath. Been procrastinating on quitting fully, but this is the last straw that broke the camel's back. It's for the better anyway.

As for staying strong, after that cheesecake, I don't want any sweets. So much cake/pies/cookies every time I go in the kitchen, but I think about what I'd rather have. Sweets or a good body.

Also did deadlifts today again. Focusing more on sets, form, and reps rather than weight. Only did 2 sets of 4 at 225 lb. Plan to do 3x5 at the same weight on Friday.
