STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

So you should only do squats in the squat rack?

I personally don't mind as long as they aren't doing pull ups and pushups in the squat rack and know somebody is waiting to use it for squats. (True story)

That is worse, but the squat rack we have is not really suited to do deadlifts. its not a big enough space in there and it's pretty wide. so if you were to do them from the ground you actually couldn't because of how wide the base is. I started at 7 p.m. - left at 8 :15 he was still there.. ............

still no need to be in the only squat rack with a gym full of people for an hour. inconsiderate.

Did you ask to work in, or how long he would be? Is there somewhere else to deadlift? I've deadlifted in racks before for quite awhile, its only inconsiderate if you're a d bag about it.

yea theres a pretty decent size area where a few bars and plates are to do dead lifts or anything else.

I dont live in America. language barrier

Thanks.

People in here are acting like I asked about illegal steroids.

I don't think I have low testosterone, I was only asking because I see them at the stores.

I was thinking maybe people take it with pre-workout to help increase strength.
Some people in here aren't natty

nahhh but fo real those over the counter boosters wont raise your levels up enough to even notice. Go to your doctor, get checked and go from there.

At my gym, squat rack is the only place to do DL's. I usually grab a spare bar though and go to the corner next tonone of the squat racks, but if I have to ill do it in the squat racks or one of the power racks. Those are the only places to do em though, guess it depends in your gym. Bicep curls at the squat rack is another story though.

The way Ilya cleaned and jerked 485 pounds yesterday in warm ups, Jesus, he made it look like 95 pounds.

Not sure how to embed

It's looking like he's going to set a world record in the clean and jerk this Saturday

Hit some PRs today

245 squats last week for 5 reps - 285 today for 3 reps
295 deads last week for 6 reps - 300 today for 3 reps
+ 1 when I recharge. :nthat:

Just brought my deadlifts up too today at 285 x 4,1,1. Glad I fixed my form. Could never go pass 265 before.

The weight all these guys are hitting prior to stepping on the platform is insane.  I understand going high intensity on the main lifts and squats for singles and doubles, but these guys are killing heavy rdl's, sets of 5 on front/back squats with relatively heavy weight and more.

Yea, it's kinda crazy how heavy some of these guys go the week of competition. Even though Ilya made 220 kg look like child's play, it's likely 90 or more of this Saturday's lift.

Prior to these last couple of weeks, it was to my understanding that it's customary to de-load before competition time.

I want to watch a stream this saturday morning badly. 105 A is supposed to be stacked.
