STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

80# gain in 6 months is bananas.
Gain 40 pounds and you'll see the light

Walked in for legs day after being super fat all holiday. was 190lbs (normally about 182) got 315lb for 5 reps then 4 reps then 4 reps. I had never been able to get 5 reps at 315lbs. Felt good...but i need to hit some cardio. Running at this weight is noticeably harder

New Pr on deadlift today 455 x2

went for 505, couldn't get it past my knees i felt furious honestly. wanted to try again but I already know how that goes, can't wait for 2 weeks from now, I will get it.

Id suggest making smaller jumps in weight. 475x2 would put you at a 500 pull or damn close.

What wireless headphones are those?

I'm looking to make the wireless headphone jump...still not sure if I should go earphones or headphones...

My sister's ascension is ridiculous. At 140 pounds she has a 215 back squat a 250 dead and a 175 pound clean.

Never touched a weight before crossfit.

I'm afraid she's going to overtake me if she keeps it up.

=(

At this point the only area where I'm clearly superior is chin ups, bench and any overhead movements

Yikes

Got some chucks for Christmas, ready to put 'em to use. Now im considering selling my sz 11 volt romaleos. PM if interested.

i know people posted about bluetooth headphones way back in this thread. i been content with my cheap ol' earbuds but using these wireless headphones today was great. no worries about dumbells on the phone doing sitting shoulder presses or incline bench. no worries of the wire catching on deadlifts. earbuds stuck firmly in the ear - no movement or discomfort. wish i tried some earlier

What makes you think you can jump 50lbs from a 2 rep working set?

Much respect but man, thats a huge jump.

the 2 reps at 455, I probably could've done more, but i was just trying to conserve my strength for the 500 pull I knew I wanted.

but you're right 475 next time. is what i should shoot for. funny thing is the old lady who works out pretty hard was cheering me on . thought that was cool as hell of her

I'm still using some MEEI earbuds someone recommended to me in the gym awhile back. Been thinking of making the jump to Bluetooth

I can't imagine working out in J's. Most of them are uncomfortable when I just use them for casual wear. But if I have to actually exercise :x

I do not know how Jordan spent an entire professional career playing in them!

3s and 5s are comfortable at the gym

Anyone ever tried German Volume Training?
Yes.

Love it.

I have tried different variations, including 10x10 and 8x8.

Always have used rest intervals of 60 secs to 90 secs. Have had great success, I like to run it for 2-3 months and then switch it up again.
