STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

You mean the generation thats in the worst shape,... Ever? That generation?
is this true? I know our generation has plenty of lazy mofos and people who sit behind a computer for work all day. But it seems like in general people are a helluva lot more aware of health and fitness (eating right, exercising, not smoking, etc)

I think people worry way too much about what they eat. Like you're worried about eating some butter because you won't get yourself off the couch. Just don't be lazy as hell and stop tripping off the ingredients so bad.

What I hate is those people that eat anything and say "you're gonna die anyway". Not tryna have all them complications and doctor bills on the way out tho

Bro diet is wayyyy more important than exercise.

I know diet is important but some people just don't eat so they can do nothing and not get fat. I guess that's more what I mean. Like meal planning and eating 1k calories in s day. You gotta be kidding me. Or those dumb cleanses where you **** for a day straight.

Doing that crap instead of exercise. I worded that poorly.

Being aware and practicing are 2 different beast though.

Alot of people are aware trans fat is bad....
but it doesn't stop them from grabbing the chips that say no trans fat and still crushes the whole bag.

Or people who dont beleive in drinking soda or coffee but still load their Tea up with sugar...

People are aware of what' Bad

but I think they're unaware of what exactly is "good"

I really don't see any evidence of this generation being 'in the worst shape ever'

I'm surprised to see that comment and it's coming out of left field to me

I think this generation has a lot of gym heads and are very vein and care so much about physical appearance. That's what I'm seeing

lol don't let them IG chicks fool you either. that drink eat and party go to the gym once a week and post a squatting pic... but then show how they drinking grey goose and eating cake lol

I don't think you realize how small the "gym goer" population is...

America is the fattest its ever been, Im sure you can find countless studies and articles very easily on the subject. Hell other countries laugh at us due to how high our obesity rate is.

We live in a country where it is way cheaper to get a big mac and fries then some chicken, rice and veggies.

Do you think this generation has a lot of gym heads because you choose to surround yourself with things you enjoy doing/seeing. You can control what you see and hear more than ever so if youre always looking at gym stuff in youtube, instagram, friends with people on facebook, it just may seem like most people are into fitness.

Ifs the least active generation of all time, and health-wise its not looking good either.

Too much screen time, not enough movement, no personal responsibility on health... Its not good.

The trend doesnt look like its gonna get better anytime soon either

Idk man. I can't think of anyone I know personally my age who doesn't have a gym membership

Seriously? ANYONE?

Nope, not a single one.
So EVERYONE you went to college with

So EVERYONE you work with

I just find that hard to believe, but like TD said, doesn't mean they use it,

But there is more than health than working out

But it is all about perception. And if you live in a major city, your opinion is skewed as well

I can't be convinced cuz I don't see any evidence of it. Literally. It's just not what I'm seeing, at all.

Even people I know who hate exercising do it cuz that's what everyone else is doing. That's just what I'm seeing.

I own a recycling bin.......... Doesnt mean I use it.

How old are you again?

Do this. Jan 2nd 2016 go to the gym. Count how many people you see at 5 p.m (or whatever time you go)
Wait 1 month. go back the same day and count again......

Obesity rates in America are the highest ever across the board. 2/3's of America is overweight. Rates are rising amongst children. It's pretty bad.

I guess man, but you must eat, sleep, go to school, work, AT the gym. All of these FAT out of shape internet geeks walking around this world man. But everything is perception

Ah the new years thing. Wouldn't work where I go cuz I lift at a crossfit. It's a pretty constant number all year round.

When I was going to LA fitness, I was seeing that
