Youre buying fake kicks cause you cant afford the real ones. It may be "just sneakers" but its the concept.

You cant compare it to downloading illegal music and whatnot. :lol: Thats RIDICULOUS.

I don't really feel any way about people buying fake sneakers.

I just find it funny because I'm sure the same people looking down at fake sneakers have cut corners some other way ej. Downloading music, bootleg movies, watching a movie and then sneaking into another one, etc

It's all the same thing
 
The only real difference is that some people with fake sneakers stunt like they doing it

That's just funny to me lol

Besides that, it's totally the same thing. In fact, I wager illegal music/movies probably does more damage to the entertainment industry than fake sneakers does to the shoe industry.

It's not though. If the problem is taking money out of the hands of hard workers (which fake shoes have people who work to make them as well and need to get paid)


why not compare. You can't act above it all because u bought $200 shoes and **** on someone who bought $50 imposters, but buying a .99 cent song or $12 album is too much (or not comparable) and totally ok to do. ^if you're going to have that mentality at all. That still makes you a hypocrite.
as the thumpers say "sin is sin". Just because what you choose to do is more righteous for one thing than the other doesn't it make it better.
(again this is all care about that one thing, and especially if you want to throw stones when you yourself are living in a glass house)

Alot of what people consider "fakes" are just B grades and factory defects that the company ships to other countries for the cheap anyway. So they're not technically fakes just defects.
Some are "fake" if another manufacturer copies them and puts them out on the market, but at the end of the day, they're going on your feet, you just decide the price and worth you put to them.


As Amel said, you technically do more damage when you pirate, you could be preventing sales which will cost an artist or director to to be dropped from the company and then your favorite artist doesn't have the backing he had anymore.

but we can be done if yall like.

Of course it causes more damage but its not comparable. Theres a stigma with fake sneakers thst illegal downloads dont have.

Just because illegal downloading doesn't have a stigma doesn't mean it's not stealing :lol:

Either way I don't really care but I just find it funny if you do one and look down on the other

I think more people would be wearing fakes if they can get away with it...but like you said, there's a stigma with it so people just don't.

lol a stigma with the 2% of "sneakerheads" in the world that would take the 10-30 secs to inspect just to tell if shoes are fake.
come on....

I promise you, you can walk around your city/town for a full day. and maybe 1-2 people over the age of 18 will even care if you have the new yeezy boost and know that you paid $____ for it.

Life isn't youtube/vine/IG, no one is going to run around screaming "what are thoooose" at your shoes.


Do stuff for yourself.. You feel good and confident buying shoes for full retail when they release, from the Original retailer cool
If another person feels just as confident, getting his off the truck for 75% less and feels good when he goes out so be it.


I guess with guys "sneakerheads" its shoes, just like with girls it's bags, or make up...judging others...

No ones inspecting anyone elses shoes for 20 seconds b. We probably woudnt know if it was fake unless we inspected it close it looked fugazi, but woud YOU buy fakes knowing it was fake? Its your conscious, if you could care less if it was fake or not but you care enough for the shoe to think about buying a fake then what does that say?

Again, not a big deal but since were in the discussion, imma put my 2 cents in. Id never know you had fake Moonrocks but if anyone found out, you'd get roasted for part of your day.

If you wanna use the 350's as an example, I live NYC, everyone knows what 350's are.

You can like the design of something and not care for the price or to pay that price.

Isit ok for someone to wait til it hits ross or marshalls for 49.99 (but be 2/3 years old. Will you clown me for wearing an old shoe too?
 
My gym has been empty latelyand im loving it. However im starting to feel like im at a day care or some **** cause parents are starting to bring their kids to the gym and walk with them on the treadmill or some machine.

Yes, when im saying clowning, I mean a fun roast where everyone is laughing and joking. Im not crucifying people or trying to lectute them into whats authentic/fake or what to buy/not buy. :lol: And I disagree, if you cant afford it, dont buy a knock off. If you cant afford Volk TE37 rims, dont get knock Vorsteiner rims. If you can afford a cuban link chain, dont go to F21 and cop a fake joint that weighs the same as a box of tic tacs.
 
Other than not rewarding the original owner or creators, fakes and illegal downloading are not the same thing.

The music/ movie fake equivalent would be buying a Bollywood version of a Hollywood blockbuster and saying its the real thing.

Pirating is getting the original version at a discounted price.

Getting the real version at Ross/ Marshalls after 2,5 years or months is getting the original shoe at a discount. ( no problem)

What it comes down to ( I think) is if the person is trying to pass the fakes off as the real thing ( original version).

If I want buy Wal-mart value pack $1.99 lb chicken, instead of Harris Teeter Organic $5.99 fat already trimmed off the breast chicken because you think that is the way to go and how someone else should live their life.

I always wanted those under armor super hero compression shirts. they're 50 bucks. Wal-mart has super hero dri fit shirts for $15. not the same type of shirt but same effect. will you judge me because i didn't spend the extra $35 to spend on compression

wearing it in general is "passing it off" no one is goign to rock them then put out a disclaimer while walking around. "hey while you're looking I just need to let you know these are fakes

Even some of the most dedicated "sneaker Heads" aren't going to notice 100% of the fakes on people that they glance at for 30 secs while passing them on the streets.



I'm not trying to sound like a kill joy ...if you're with your boys and y'all having a roasting session that's a fair game, it's your boys...
but i just shutter at the fact that you're going around inspecting other mens shoes and judging them for spending less. the next step is judging people for not having the yeezys in the first place.

my gym doesn't allow kids under 16 on the floor at all. that sounds miserable.
