STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

Man, Just peeped Fousey's workout vid. Didn't expect him to throw that kinda weight on bench.

I would cop at $200-300. No thanks to $400.

Although the Rock stan in me is making me seriously consider it

How do you guys stretch your groin?

When I squat my groin feels right
I like to put one foot on a bench (like the shoe string part) (also this foot's knee should be planted firmly on the ground)

and the other foot flat on the ground.

Slowly move hips from forward to back a few times and switch feet.

Works nicely for hip flexors and groin when getting loose for squats.

Or get on one knee (like youre proposing) and lean forward, you can hold onto something for stability too. Good hip flexor stretch also. I used to have a bad groin problem before from basketball.

This stretch has been helping me a lot

400

Please don't tell me the ones from years ago. haha. If you're talking about the one from yesterday... ... I may go through depression but believe that gives me strength. haha.

When you guys are in cutting mode to shed some LBS do you make any drastic changes to your lifts? Are you lifting less and doing more cardio? I know you're gonna limit your calorie intake but didn't know if you were adjusting workouts as well. I need to make a big cut I gained a lot of weight back but also don't wanna go back on my lifts.

Gym bruhs,

is it poor etiquette to take the bar off a bench press for deadlifts?

i've been doing this for years and never had an issue until today. some dude flipped out even though there were 4 other empty benches/bars. told him to take the bar off another bench or use a different bench and he went on a tirade about the bars are part of the bench and shouldn't be taken off.

we went back and forth for a while, but in hindsight...perhaps it's me that has bad etiquette?
It's only bad etiquette if it prohibits someone else from using the equipment for its original purpose

Lol man what is this?

First come first serve, his loss. He'll get over it.

That happens all the time at my 24 hour fitness

As long as someone is doing deadlifts or rows, i'm cool with it.

However, if you steal a bar to do curls or something stupid

I know a guy who uses the Olympic bar and puts 225 on it to do walking lunges across the biggest part of the gym.

You know "that guy" that wears the quarter high shorts to show off his quads

 I'd laugh in someone's face if they told me the bar was only to stay on the rack. Either wait or use the smith machine. Who is that dude? The gym principal?

My gym isn't that busy though when I go. Always a free bar. One time I can think of I had to be nice and use the smith machine for shrugs. No big deal.

There was a guy like that today. Except he demonstrated his strength on the leg press. Goes from two plates to 12 on the next set. Quarter reps two times. Screams, goes for a full rep does it. Slams the hell out of the sled when he stops and walks away with a limp. Proceeds with the same strategy on bench all lopsided and crazy. whole place was looking at him like he was insane.
