The plot thickens.... you literally had dude still in the area u wanted tell you he had 1 set left yet u still felt the need to ask the dude next to him when hes going to be done. Then your annoyed thats he seems annoyed after 1. he probably heard or atleast saw u ask the dude next to him.
2. There were other empty benches... so now hes suppose to know that you specifically asked him because you wanted to use the heavy weight....
How was he suppose to know?. He didnt need to answer u at all to be honest. If it was me i probably wouldve flat out said.. u dont see those open flat benches..
so if u asked a guy how many sets he got left he tell u what?!?!!? 2 times and I don't know. Like **** u. U wouldn't get pissed. All the other **** irrelevant.
 
90 pound dumbells are too heavy to carry 90 feet and yet you wanna piss off a 'roid head'

I promise you if you didnt do what you did, he was going to keep working on that bench. If he really was planning to do 1 last set, he probably wouldve said so. Most likely he didnt have a set number of additional sets remaining, probably was deciding on the fly. Theres times where ive done 3-4 sets on squats for example and im gassed, and someone asks how many more, i might just say 1 more, but if nobody asks, i prob woulda kept working

No aggresor. I asked politely. He became aggressive. The dude next to him had 2 sets actually. He superset with flys. Which was quick though. But I meant if he ever ask me for something hell get the same treatment. No need to cause confrontation where not needed. He disrespectful to tho. He always walk in people way never say excuse me. Bump into people. U know

Yeah OP, I kinda agree with most people in here. Just because the open benches have become the de facto "female/accessory benches" doesn't mean you can't use them for what you wanna do. The dude does come off as a bit of a douche but, like others have pointed out, I can see why he'd be annoyed as well.

Also, maybe you didn't come off as politely as you thought. Just from what you've posted in here it really seems like you don't like this guy at all. Kinda like a self-fulfilling prophecy. You have this guy pegged as a douche so you instinctively treated him as such before any douche behavior occurred. And you said you "got him next time" again perpetuating the idea of him being a villain. Treat him like a villain and he'll probably react like one. Just be the bigger man and let it go.



And if moving the dumbbells really does have you expending THAT much energy, maybe you should use lighter dumbbells.

I have anxiety and my episodes have been getting worse so I'm not going to the gym till they subside cause i refuse to take meds.

Any body weight routines you guys care share in helping build muscle and burn fat?

Building muscle and burning fat at the same time is fairly difficult to do.

I would just focus on push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups and dips until your hearts content. Make sure you eat right and throw in some cardio.

Calisthenics workouts are easy to plan.

there's a ton of body weight programs out there. Good luck with your anxiety.

This is the same dude who swore up and down he was 100 pounds up until a couple of years ago

Now he's carrying around 90 pound dumbells :lol:
