Cot damn Arnold press is hard. Grabbed 45s thinking that would be a good starting weight. Ended up Having to go down to 20 lb Dumbbells to be able to do a set of 12 reps :frown: These delts need some MAJOR work

It's sounds stupid to me, but I don't smoke:lol:

What I don't understand is why wouldn't someone just smoke before they go to a regular gym if that's what their into? 


My friend is a huge smoker, multiple times daily and smoking before the gym is something he doesnt do.

On the other end, I have a few gym friends that are absolutely blasted while working out, they seem and workout totally normal though.

lol ive been doing arnolds for about 8 years now. Still havent went above 40 doing them. Lol. They kill my delts
 
Help me with a rep scheme for my bench 1rm plz brahs. My previous 1rm is 255 and I usually work up to it with like 10x 135 10x 185 5x 225 then 2x 245. If I'm doing it wrong please aware me

Absolutely. The only thing I noticed is that 365 felt a little harder pull. But then 425 felt pretty good before the 1RM

And yep 5 plate club is in sight! That will be on the video list along with 225 bench when I hit it

135x10 is ok just to make sure you're warmed up

Then go for a PR. There is no reason to ever hit a rep within 10 pounds of you goal PR if thats what you are doing, going for a true 1RM.

When I pulled 585 this was my progression:

135x10

225x5

315x2-3

365x1-2

405x1

4551

495x1

545x1

585x1

Bet, repped. Gonna try next week for a bench and probably deadlift PR. Gonna take it easy on squats for a while my knee has been feeling a lot better lately not trying to go back to square one.

That's a whole lot of reps at 135 and 185

Why not try 10 at 135
5@185
5@225
3@275
2@295

That's about what I do to get working at 315 for a few sets. The pull-ups seem fine to me since that's more lats and biceps than lower back so that shouldn't burn you out.

I'm newer to this I'm sure boss can give more advice but that's what I do.
