STAY/GET BACK IN SHAPE VOL 3.0 -- A New Niketalk = A New Thread

I've never done them or seen them done anywhere but in a rack. Where are you supposed to do military presses? Srs

kale isnt that bad.....
but buy a bag, throw it in the freezer over night. take out the freezer and it all crunches like potato chips when it's frozen. sprinkle it in any smoothie, or hell sprinkle it in your eggs when you cook them.

Eating frozen kale as chips sounds really nasty :x maybe its not as bad as it sounds lol

Kale chips from baking in the oven is really good though, when done right. Takes a lot of trial and error IMO. Olive oil, pinch of salt, bake and youre all set. Im sure theres good instructions on google...

I took weightlifting in highschool. We had an actual bench that was fixed at that angle and had a rack attached. I havent seen one since so i just wheel one of the adjustable benches into the power rack.

We also had a prone row bench in highschool, thats something else i havent seen since. That was a good exercise too

Lol my bad i saw u said sprinkle on eggs or smoothie but i thought u also meant crunch em up out the bag

Smoothie would be koo, i do kale smoothies a lot. Kale and Eggs :x not for me

I misread the post. I had to read it again because I thought he was talking about standing military presses.

First week Ed coen dl program done. Took 45 minutes. Disregarded 90 second rests in the circuit and just rested a minute after each circuit. Also just a minute between dl sets. I'm sure it will get harder. Subbed Chin up for lat pull downs also.

What's the beef with military in a rack? I never sit for any exercise so I don't use the designated seated shoulder press. My gym also has 20 racks...

I've seen military press in the squat rack. Doesn't bother me as much.

There's a guy at my gym that not only curls in the squat rack. Which to me is a peeve. But he throws 10lb bumper plates on the bar to curl.... Homie you not fooling anybody lol

Unless there's a specific rack to do barbell military press, where else are you supposed to do it?

The whole problem with curling in a squat rack is you can basically do it anywhere else

Honestly even when i put a generous amount in there i barely taste a flavor difference. in the smoothies the protein or orange juice or fruit mask the taste a lot anyway (although kale doesn't really have a heavy taste. )

in the eggs no different than putting spinach in eggs, they both practically taste the same to me anyway.

I never understood doing curls in the rack. The rack imo should be used for lifts where if u get fatigued theres a risk u can hurt urself since u cant hold up the weight. Military press, squats, even bench. Theres no risk of dropping a barbell with weight on it on urself when doing curls if u get tired.

I was front squatting 255 and was gonna rerack the bar when one of the hooks actually fell of the rack so I was shook for a second cause the bar was falling to one side while I was still holding it. Luckily there were safety bars so I let he bar come down. Phew.

In the span of time it took my to finish my squat workout there were two separate dudes quarter squatting in the rack next to me. One even loaded up heavier than me once he saw me load the weights for my work sets.

There's two racks specifically for military press that were open :\

Y'all just need to join a smaller local gym or a powerlifting/Olympic Lifting gym.

Yea I was thinking about this but I still need to hoop. There's this gym out here where India love works out :nerd:. Might have to look into it

I don't even know how that's possible. I eat 200-400g
When I cut for my first meet I kept it under 100 for a week straight and it was the worst thing ever

Did you do the lifts separate in a 3x8 or just dog them altogether? I'll keep doing them since it just takes 15 minutes or less you don't need 90 sec rest. The set up of a few different barbells takes almost as long as the circuit.

The other day some chode was doing military press in the squat rack

. Most ridiculous thing I've seen in the gym to date, outside of this buff dude pop locking between sets, another guy that walks around in leggings, and some super douche who works out in super high shorts. Mind you he probably had to roll the bench a good 30 feet to get it over there when the military bench is maybe 40 feet away and wasn't being used. To top off his douchebaggery he finishes his set and just walks off, leaving the bench and the plate he used to stabilize it there for the next poor sap (me) to deal with it.

standing ohp are acceptable in the squat rack... dont know wtf this guy was doing though lol

Man if I remember correctly all I did were the first 2 parts and then just did my own thing after that.

I dl'd for the first time today and squats for the first time in a while...
