I can barely walk smh

Did Tabata workout - Air Squats with 10 sec rest in bottom squat hold position...then I ran 1 mile as soon as it was over.

Talk about a crime

ok i have a question. I know a lot of you are very knowlegable when it comes to working out so i hope you understand what im trying to say. Anyways i'm 5'11'' 260 lbs. i have broad shoulders, nice sized arms and a broad chest. My problem is im flabby. I have a nice chest but a lil bit of man boobs and a gut. My wife just wants me to lose the ******* and gut. My question is how to lose the moobs and gut and stay a decent size? I know i can lose a lot of weight with cardio but i dont want to be small. So do i have to do cardio to maintain a good sz but lose my gut and moobs?

Just lift and cut your calorie intake by 400 calories a day under the amount you need to maintain your current weight.
 
At 5'11 260 and the figure you described, trying to lose fat, I would say concentrate on diet and start doing cardio/lifting.

this is what i was thinking. I hate cardio lol but i guess i could walk still. But thanks I gotta try to keep it consistent and drop my calories

Yea just walking is fine, you don't really need to do cardio but I like it personally.

I live in Brooklyn so I like to jump rope on my roof overlooking the Manhattan skyline before and after the gym.


All about finding something that takes the boring out of it.

losing weight is more about what you eat or don't eat. you don't necessarily have to do cardio, but it helps. hit the weights and watch what you eat. maybe you like basketball? just go shoot around by yourself and have some fun with it or you'll dread trying to do cardio if you don't like it.

It might look like some tv infomercial BS but I honestly think p90x isn't a bad workout at all. Especially if your just trying to lose 20 lbs. I did it years ago and i liked it. It's not gonna get you huge and shredded but you'll def lose some weigh and get in shape. I didn't follow it to a T but mostly did. You can do it all at home with dumbbells. You can find it online for free too just google it
There should be some kind of rule that you're advice is complete nonsense you should post a picture. What do you look like?

Can any of the NT fam offer some advice?

My uncle offered to give me his entire setup: 2 bars + 50/45/35/smaller lb plates + 40/50lb dumbbells. Neither of the bars has center knurling, so can I use these for any lifts? The one on the floor has rough knurling (killed my hands when I tried some deadlifts). Thanks.

Lift or do high intensity cardio + clean up your diet + eat less. You're not going to accidentally get small.
 
Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. It's similar to a woman saying "I want to be toned, but I don't wanna get big."

Worry about losing the fat before you even worry about being "too small" which you haven't even defined what you consider to be "too small".

You can always put weight back on. Trial and error has always been the best approach to anything.
 
ehhh more like just getting banged up right now, Im not elite or even close but the gains are starting to come slower especially since I'm not putting anymore weight on. 

Damn, yes that's a tough time to push through but you've proved yourself capable.


You gotta cut sometime and show off all that hard work though.

Yea, love it. Been doing it for ~5 years now. I usually do a 20/4 window as thats just easier for me to work into my schedule. Eat dinner/meals around 6pm after work, finish up by 10 pm, sleep, workout at 6am and take 1 scoop of Xtend post workout. Some might argue its not a true fast with the aminos but I have alternated taking them vs not and don't feel a noticeable difference.

Physcial results have been A1, Immune system been teflon, mental clarity and focus during the fast is on point, would never go back to 3 square meals a day

I've had like 4 quest bars and I think I'm good on them :lol:. Flavors aren't bad but it seems like they just pour goop into a rectangle shaped container

Those met-rx "big colossal 100" or whatever bars are pretty good. 26g of sugar tho
