Hi Everyone! First of all I want to thank all of you for the well wishes and prayers. I've been in the hospital since Thursday and should hopefully be out tonight or tomorrow at latest. As I do spend a lot of my time on here, I did want to you guys to know. In short, I had a micro-rupture on my large intestine and well my doctors weren't sure if surgery would be needed, thankfully it's not, so it's been just handling the infection with antibiotics. I should hopefully be back to posting tomorrow, here AND on the blog. Good to see that this thread has grown quite a few pages, definitely have some pages to catch up on.

Damn stay up man, hope you have a speedy recovery.

High fashion is more art, than functional clothing. Unless your Lady Gaga. My mom is into high fashion. The way she explained it to me, is that high fashion is like concept cars. You'll never see a concept car in full production, but you will find different aspects of the concept car make it to full production. Same for High Fashion. They use it to make functional clothing.

My mom would say with out high fashion designers would just produce the same stuff and inovation would be slower. High fashion makes desginers say Damn, I never thought to use wood as a shirt. What if I used it else where.

Just picked these up...

Folks in cars just don't care... :smh:

Serg: I'm glad to hear you're doing better, man.

New: speedy recovery, man. I often see cars come within inches of clipping cyclists and feel scare for them.

Anyone in here familiar with Massimo Dutti? Just recently discovered their leather jackets from browsing Fancy... Anyone own one? Recommend? Interested in the Black, Brown or even Blue leather jacket. :nerd:

Hadn't heard of it until now, done a little research and see that it is owned by the same company as Zara and the same analogy comes coming up every where I read reviews Massimo Dutti is to Zara as Banana Republic is to Gap so I assume a slightly better quality than Zara...Sorry if that didn't help much haha

I'm starting to work more in schools. So a lot more opportunities to wear a dress shirt and tie.

Right now, I'm trying to stockpile ties,

I'm really trying to drop some weight at some point, and then a bunch of shirts would then be a waste of money... Just need to get focused on doing so :smh:

Any recommendations on a nice peacoat? I am eye-ing the J.Crew one, but looking to expand my options.

I'm from CA so I never really had to look into a nice coat

J Crew, Gap cropped peacoat, or H&M

H&M actually makes a great peacoat. Quality is far better than most of their other clothing

I'll agree with H&M. I have a peacoat-ish jacket I bought 3 years ago. I used it when I worked at my old job near the airport, which was super cold at night. It's still holding up fine and it got worn tons. $100 well spent.
