Dressing Better Vol 2.0

1) Use a clarifying shampoo if you haven't already. Wax and shampoo/conditioner actually leaves residue, which might be a reason why your hair doesn't style the way you want.
2) Use a heat protection spray before you blow dry. The heat is extremely damaging to your hair and scalp.
3) Apply a thickening mouse if your hair is thin.
4) Blowdry your hair upwards..and remember to blowdry starting from the roots of your hair.
5) Apply a thin layer of wax to shape it the way you want. (I find that American Crew fiber works the best on my hair..but you gotta experiment).
6) Use a matte hair spray to keep it in place.

I'd say you covered almost everything I was thinking + a lot more.
One thing that definitely helped me was STOP shampooing everyday. I never put much thought into how it effected my hair but once I started keep track I noticed a huge difference. The day after I shampoo (I shower at night) my hair falls FLAT and has no volume. Now I only shampoo about every 5 days and my hair has never looked healthier.

And co-sign on crew fiber. I also use Grant's Matte Pomade. It has basically the same effect as the crew fiber for me, but I like supporting a little family business like Grant's Pomade.

@shogun try some Johnny B street cream. You need to literally use very little of it and you can easily get hair up like that. Try using it after your hair is almost dry from the shower and it won't leave shine. Only stuff I've been satisfied thus far. Also a couple pages back I asked about the rips on some 69 Gaps and wether or not they would exchange them... Well low and behold they exchanged them for a new pair. So I would give it a try they might be having a good day lol

Derby is one of the times Louisville is a good look as far as dressing better..and George Clooney is from Lex?! But im located in Bowling Green, finishing up at WKU. However, I could possibly make a trip to louisville or lex.

and WJ4 well said.

I'm not too familiar with Bowling Green, they are definitely some good tailors in Lexington and Louisville though and I would guess the prices would be way better....

Dang, special shouts to scars again for slapping me out of the sickness for Nikes. Gonna return these Hyperposites too

I was delirious for a minute :frown:

Lets say you need to restock on dress shirts, for suits or under sweaters, you know causal / formal attire but long sleeve dress shirts. Who is your go to brand in terms of comfort, size, pricing?

I love Calvin Klein's shirts. They fit me best, I just hate paying $60-$70 for a shirt.

It sucks because I have a 16.5 neck size but short arms then the "standard" 33, CK's medium fits me perfect.

I have the "flat" hair problem as well, I don't blow dry, I did switch from American Crew Fiber to American Crew Forming Cream. Works better now that my hair is a little bit longer. When I want the slick look, I use American Crew Pomade. I've grown to like AC, it washes off easily.

I only shampoo my hair once or twice a week, doing it more than that damages your hair, I've noticed an improvement once I stopped shampooing every day.

. Good, it's one thing to scoop nostalgic classics, it's another thing to scoop random hyped kicks you were scooping. Can't get with LeBrons, KD's or Kobe's, not my style.

My "go to's" are Charles Tyrwhitt Slim Fit and Brooks Brothers Extra Slim Fit. You can actually order shirts based off your measurements as opposed to getting them in a "standard" sleeve length based on neck size.

They are both reasonably priced, you can find deals, quality is superb (personal opinion). They are also within your price range.

This is a step up, so you no longer have to deal with "standard fits".

Bama- Nice fit, Navy/Red striped tie would've made that outfit a little bit better.

Hey, guys! I wore the baseball jacket today: the sleeves could be a little slimmer, but I got it for mad cheap at a thrift store, so I'm not worried about it!

At $80 for a shirt I'd go the MTM route unless you want some prints that are atypical.

I ordered a sized up varsity jacket. Pretty eager how they would look with slim trousers.
