Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Damn they don't offer different shipping methods and I need it by Saturday, It says it will be here the earliest 27th. Looks like I will have to go to a store now

All H&M's have suits? Or better yet do they carry what they carry online? Will call tomorrow to make sure.

I would size down at least .5 from your normal Nike size. I wear a 12 in Nike sneakers and the 11 in Tretorns fit me perfectly.

Damn I will call in the am but does this essentially mean they have a bigger selection of items online as opposed to a physical store?
Varies quite a bit from store to store. With the new season slowly coming in, the benefit of going to a local brick and mortar is that they have stuff from earlier in the season plus the newer stuff while the online looks like mostly newer suits at the moment. Also know that whenever I've checked sizes in the past 36/38 were usually the first to be sold out.

Got my Gap selvedges in the mail, and you guys were right! They're slim like I wanted the slim to be. I'm going to throw them on today and start breaking them in.

do you guys put trees in your sneakers?
Nope. The leather used on sneakers, even the higher end brands, is not the same as better made casual/dress shoes. I don't use shoe trees in any of my sneakers or rugged footwear. I used to with my more expensive sneakers, but I stopped because frankly the sole will wear down before anything.

Closest thing to sneakers that I put them in are my Lunargrands.

As of yesterday, J.Crew is allowing the 15% student discounts on suits AND partnership items now.

Our store is having a secret sale that's 25% all the fall suits and I do believe the college student can be combined. Take advantage, I do believe it lasts til the 21st.

Has anyone here tried the J Crew 770 jeans/pants? Insight in general and compared to the 484?  I know it states "narrower than the slim-straight but not as skinny as the 484."  I don't like the slim-straight at all but the 484 can be too slim for certain pants.

Constantly coming up with gold in those thrift stores.

All I got around my way is a bunch of crap! Smh.

Question to those that get their pants/jeans tapered...

Does your tailor take the pants/jeans in from both sides?

My tailor told me that he could only take them in from one side because of the stiching.

That results in really bad looking bulging around the knee.

Thrift Modification:

1000

$12 for the coat. $40 for dry cleaning, new buttons, and changing the stance. :smokin
that's pretty impressive A. i would think that most tailors would find job like that challenging. i definitely need to quit twiddling my thumbs and get down to your tailor.

484 is trim throughout the leg.

770 is the slim straight in the seat, 484 from knee down. You have a little bit more allowance in the waist with 770s

Thanks y'all.

Doc, quit plain games G. Come on through. Your Lord Almighty is supposed to trek on down next Saturday. We can grab lunch :pimp:

As for the job, please note that I have already asked my guy to do a similar task in the past:
