Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Someone please help me find a pair of all black high top Balenciaga Arenas in a sz 40!!! The lamb skin leather ones.

As soon as I'm ready to purchase, I can't track down a pair smh

Help your boy out!

Any advice or insight on how I can track down a pair would be appreciated.
You might have to make some calls. I don't see any sz 40s anywhere. Granted I only checked a few sites
Thanks for checking for me man. I really appreciate it.

After looking all day & scouring eBay, I ended up finding a pair a few minutes ago & pulled the trigger.

Everything look good to y'all? http://www.ebay.com/itm/181318420606?redirect=mobile
Oh man.  I agree with the Pinoy Typer fella, I would've waited rather than pay damn near retail on eBay from someone with 0 feedback as a seller.  Apparently there are VERY good fakes of Arenas now and I wouldn't be surprised if there were dudes with pics of real ones that ship out fakes instead, can't even really tell with those poor shots of them.  If anything I'd asked for pics of the box/label.

You should've asked in the high-end sneaker thread  rather than purchase off impulse.  I hope you end up alright but that's waaaaay too risky.

Also, dude is charging $50 for shipping?  Something about that along seems sketchy.

Gifts from my lovely girlfriend.

I think government workers might be the worst. A lady that works with my girl wears sweatpants everyday and her excuse was she has two kids.

You don't even know. Government worker checking in

We are "relaxed business casual". My old boss wore flip flops to work every single day...and half the day would walk around the office in bare feet. The scientist here literally you can pick them out of a line up. They all have those weird toe-covered leather sandals (will look for a pic later) and they wear safari pants. Half of them wear fanny packs. The female ones always have a pony-tail normally with a scrunchie. Our project scientist every time i see him has on the unzip the leg pants. He loves them.

But in all honesty id take their intelligence over fashion sense  they are all incredibly brilliant. Must be the other side of the brain....

Voted, 3 behind.  I blown away that some of those are contest worthy and oisin might be top 3 corniest internetters around.

Thanks, dudes. It's gonna be tough to win.

Feeling like the Seahawks going in  jk jk.

Then I need some advice here...my father and I are pretty much the same height. He came to stay at my spot for a while, and by accident left a dinner jacket. I'm thinking about stealing it and getting it tailored a bit. My girl says the issue is that the arms are just sllliiiiightly too short, and I should forget the idea. But because I'm one of those sad individuals who's upper body is bigger than lower body, generally my suit pants are slightly wider than the chino's I was wearing in the pic. I feel when I wear a super modern suit with tapered pants, it doesn't work well for me, cause of my upper body (specifically shoulders are wide). So I feel like with a jacket like this...I either need to wear a pair of chino's that aren't as tapered. I'm rambling now  I just want to know whether if any of you think I can get this tailored a bit to suit me, or is it completely a lost cause and I should just call him and tell him I'm sending him his jacket back...

The pics are pretty bad, cause the weather is bad and I just threw on the jacket quick and had someone snap a couple pics.

That jacket is a little too small for you. The sleeves are a bit too short, but everything else looks fine to me. Maybe I'd get it brought in just a little bit--we're talking marginal here. For a better visual representation, you can provide us a picture of you wearing a shirt, just to see how much sleeve is exposed. I think the rule of thumb is to expose maybe a 1/4 inch if I'm not mistaken. Judging from your pictures, it seems like the sleeve will have almost a full inch of exposure. When you lift your arms up--you'll see the entire cuff.

I have the same issue as you do. I have a large upper body with wide shoulders and a slim waist. It's tough buying off the rack :frown:

I agree with Hank. Can you retake the photo with your shirt sleeves fixed so we can get a better visualization?

don't think i saw this posted.. great piece(s) and applies to this thread.

http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2014/02/03/the-casual-couture-of-the-average-american

is everyones dress code at work business casual now?
My job's dress code is "professional" but that term is so loose that it encompasses business casual as well. You will see everything from t-shirts with denim to shirts and ties.
We recently went business casual and people have taken it to such extremes that I would feel like an ******* in a suit..at least in my current position
this.

I've been on my chinos and obcd steez

mix in a tie here and there.

with some clarks or other boots.
I'm going to start purposely over dressing on casual Fridays. The only guy in a suit on fridays is bound to get noticed by people.
