Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Is it me...or does this tux not fit this guy perfectly?

I feel like even with his arms up like that, the lapels shouldn't be bulging like that.

And I feel like the pulling on some of his suits is a bit too much....or am I seeing things?

SMH at those Stan Smiths on J Crew. I really can't believe they screwed the entire US with the cheap version. At least the price reflects it but still :x :smh:

toooooooo tiiiiiigggggghhhhht!

It isnt hard to take the jacket out a bit is it?

It is if there is no extra fabric to take out. It'll be like lengthening jeans or pants, unless the tailor has a cuff to work with, no way they can make it longer.

Thanks fellas. I thought the same. The guy is a tailor around my way, and someone recommended I get in touch with him regarding some work for me. After going through his Instagram and seeing pics like that I wasn't impressed.

I feel like my tailor should know exactly how a suit should fit, especially on himself since he is essentially promoting his own business...

To be fair, if the customer prefers it that way, then the tailor will do that to make his paying customer happy.

Like if I want high water trousers a la Thom Browne and my tailor says he won't do it then I'll take my business elsewhere.

At the end of the day, you just got to tell him how you want it to fit and if the fit isn't to your satisfaction, then you just to go work with him til it is to your liking. Just tell him you don't want it that tight and he should be able to work with it.

I guess.

Maybe I'll pop into his studio and see the work he's done on other people, besides himself.

So am I still the only one that finds nothing appealing about GATs...MMM, epaulet, whatever it is.

Maybe I just never seen the right pic?

The third pic looks like straight south african.

Plus the kaiser chiefs jersey.

You aren't just read a page back or so, there are at least a handful who aren't a fan of them.

Some cats just like it that tight. At one point, I thought basically that was how it should fit.

You live, you learn.

they are ugly to me as well. reminds me of when everyone was wearing diesel sneakers 10 years or so ago.

It isn't as long as their is fabric there, most jackets do.

As RFX stated this is usually customer preference. Some dudes just like it like that for whatever reason. It's frustrating seeing skinny dudes with jackets that pull.
