Dressing Better Vol 2.0

I was at Nordstrom checking out shoes and I was really surprised by these.  Obviously I wouldn't recommend a double-monk if someone comes in here looking for a starter kit for interviews but for $130, the quality and comfort was actually pretty good.  I have a wide foot and it wasn't terrible though that was just for a couple minutes. Rubber sole (sorry, goodyear welt or bust crowd) but it's not bulky in the slightest.  The silhouette was nice, sleek and the toe wasn't too rounded or bulbous nor squared off.  I'm pretty particular about double-monks and they looked good to me.

I have the same exact pair.

not bad for $130 for sure.

When I lived in Houston, I wore shorts 12 months outta the year. 24 months total. Everyday. Absolutely no other choice.

Glad I'm out that hell hole.

I hated every minute I lived there. Downtown Houston is an over sized office park. Absolutely no one out past 6pm.

I certainly have my issues with Denver but at least Denver resembles a large city were people walk, bike, use public transit AND actually live downtown, not the burbs. All of Denver's best restaurants, bars and breweries are all located downtown too. Houston, the complete opposite. You have to drive everywhere.

Plus, having to deal with 3 months of 100+ degree days is not for me.

Los Angeles> all.
Paying $2500 a month for a 600 sq ft apartment isn't all that great though

Traffic sucks too.

People are rude in general. This is so apparent after I visited the Midwest.

I see I see. I sent you a Lin jersey yesterday btw. It was on sale at Ross. Should go well with the Sherman joint I sent earlier in the year.

seems like every city will have an opinion depending on who you ask though

is what it is, gotta get your own firsthand account

ive never heard a bad thing about san diego though

what lines of work are you guys in? Just curious. Some of the nicer things mentioned in here are on the pricier side,

We all agree a while back that SD is just dope. The rent...not so much. Weather is lovely all year round. It's a quick 2.5 hours south for me and I love going down there.

I meet a lot of nice people. Mostly at least.

Rent does suck though.
Bro, you in the valley

Go to the westside with that.

If Al Audi ever comes to L.A., I'm gonna take him to Silver Lake, Downtown and the Westside for hipster lurking. Skinny fat galore!

We work in various fields. Some that comes to mind: IT, Finance, Healthcare, Medical. Most of us are already out of college, while NTers in general are high school and college kids.

We don't even buy stuff that are that expensive truth be told. None of us have gator shoes that cost $10k+ yet (sans RFX, he might have that).

Sigh, having lived half my life in CO, I'm a Nuggets fan. I suppose wearing a Lin Jersey would be a little less embarrassing at the moment.

Speaking of Nuggets, I sat next to Danilo Galinari and that bum Jan Vesely at a coffee shop around the corner from my loft the other day. Here's my creeper pic
