Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Wore my Black Strands to work today, someone already pointed it out. IDK how to describe them to people though

-What kind of shoes are those
-Brooks Brothers by Allen Edmonds
-Soo who's shoe is it?
-....................Both?

I like those Cole Haans above.

I dont ever wear shorts, gonna try it this year though. Popovers and shorts for all summer causual wear situations.

Meh, I've never understood the shorts with a shirt, tie and a jacket look.
What's there to understand? It's a dope look. The Chucks surprisingly play well.

Figure you wouldn't like it though since your taste is so cookie cutter menswear.

Frankly it looks stupid...to me. It's not even about my taste being so "cookie cutter menswear" I just understand this notion of business on top and shorts on the bottom. It reminds me of what little toddlers would wear. Granted, I'm also part of those people who don't understand why people wear sweaters with shorts. You're wearing shorts because it's warm/hot, why wear a long sleeve anything on top?

Agreed.

It's the whole aesthetic. Look up "Bermuda uniform".

It's like asking why wear a jacket at all in the summer time if it isn't mandatory? Because this whole made out of cotton, unlined, etc will still contract heat.

Re: long sleeve on top and shorts: you never see someone wearing a long sleeved dress or casual shirt with shorts? That's pretty much preppy 101.

The picture is obviously the guy's version of streetwear, which doesn't need much "rules".

I feel like anything that's out of the norm will warrant a "meh, that looks asinine" remark from you. I post up all sorts of aesthetics, be it trad or goth ninja that I like here. I'll just leave this here.

I've seen the Bermuda uniform and although I understand why they do it in Bermuda and that it's business appropriate wear there; granted worn with loafers or proper dress shoes, still looks silly (to me). If this is his version of streetwear then I really don't know what to think of his look. It doesn't look bad but it looks custome-like still. In short, outside of Bermuda, I've never seen this look done right, including with that guy.

Welp apparently I struck a chord. I'm open to all aesthetics, from trad to goth to streetwear, but the shorts with a blazer and tie just looks downright stupid...to me. Are there things I see that you or others wear that I'm not a fan of? Yes. Same can be said about what I wear. However, I understand that there is this cropped look that some go for and many can and pull it off real well, you included. Would I ever try it myself? No. I'm all for going outside of the norm, as long it looks good, I'm all for it. His look, doesn't.

Just my .02 cents.

Wayment.

Shorts with blazers looks corny to me. Gotta agree with Serg on this one. But Sweaters or Crew Sweatshirts with shorts is comfortable in the Spring months.

Not related to the thread but I know some of you guys have mag subscriptions. What's the least costly route? To sign up at the site directly or is there a third party website?

A: no feels, man. I tried to put in my 2 cents

Ps Costco is having a close out sale on Cole Haan socks at $4 or 5 for a pack of 2 or 3. Quality is decent for thin socks.

I'd imagine the cheapest route is the $5/year subscriptions, which I believe are through a third party

Third party man. I've landed some for $5/year like GQ and Esquire.

Is there a site for this?

I'm not looking for fashion mags, but biz/world event ones like Inc, Entrepreneur, Bloomberg, and Forbes. Need to feel stimulated again after being in a coma last year intellectually
