That's what I do with almost any app I need.

For the gentlemen who want to see what I'm wearing. I can't take full selfies, but this is the best I can do for now. Also, 95% of the time I'm in professional menswear.

Shirt- Cego Custom Shirtmakers
Tie- Versace (Houndstooth pattern)

Allen Edmonds--Park Ave's. My very first "work" shoe. 3 years of ownership and they still look good. They're also from the factory seconds if anyone is wondering.

That's quite the shine you have on them.

are those style of coats from CM meant to be worn over a suit?

You can wear them with anything, really. I plan to wear this Barena with a sweater, maybe just a t shirt, jeans, and sleek boots

Pretty much this but with the coat instead of my blazer(also barena)

Hank: speaking of which, I'm also wearing the first pair of nicer shoes I acquired back in 2010. I see these things as having sentimental values so I plan on keeping them for as long as I can.

Hank, I assume you get a guy on the street/station shine your shoes?

I would suggest buying conditioner and really scrub off as much polish on the shoe as possible. While the gloss is quite high, the creases are very noticeable. Likely because as the shoe has aged, more and more polish is caked on rather than scrubbed off then reapplied. This makes creasing more apparent as time goes on.

Yeah, I was wondering about this the other week. I've never conditioned any of my shoes before. Maybe I should look into this. The place where I get my shoes shined is pretty well known for repairing shoes and leather goods.

Know any good leather conditioning products? I like do this sort of stuff myself.

I really like AE cleaner and conditioner.

Check out bnelsonshoes.com

They're in NY and do great work. SF approved.

Seconded. AE stuff is that work.

Glad you guys have it. Spending money on clothes and still not smashing is not the move. For the guys struggling on spending that cas
Just picked up the Nordstrom 1901 Suede Double-monks for $49. I'd been considering them for $100 so for 50% off it was a no-brainer. I'll post pictures when they arrive. I saw them in the store and they look solid.

I have them and like them a lot. Looks good with Jeans or chinos.

Despite my want for a pair of arenas or achilles, I'll still never understand lux kicks.

While I do think those look fine, I feel like they are just a Royal 1/Creative Recreation/Gucci High Top hybrid. :\

Niche market. Quality is generally higher than the typical Nike and etc sneakers. I agree on the Royals though. I thought they were Royal 1s from the top picture.

I'll continue to buy a pair here and there on discount. No way I'm paying $500+ for a pair of sneakers.

I can understand that. It's hard to explain until you start buying/wearing them to see them in person. I still don't know the difference between fully canvassed and half canvassed suits for example. I don't buy suits like that. But I'm sure there is a substantial difference in terms of quality, aesthetics, comfort, etc... that someone big on wearing suits values whereas I value high end sneakers more than their casual counterparts. If that makes sense.

The silhouette of this sneaker is actually more appealing to me than my Jordan 1s. Just structured better and have a more flattering shape IMO. You can see from this picture...

It's tough to do as an NTer but if you set aside years of being into Jordan's/Nikes and MJs history wearing the sneakers and focus on aesthetic only the SLP > Jordan. Don't chastise me for that comment lol

Nah man. I 100% bet they trump Nikes/Jordans.

Just my two cents on lux kicks. I bet once I pull the trigger, I'll know what you mean doe.

^When you factor in resale value, the hassle of legit checking/avoiding grey market or fakes (which are very close to release versions), and the quality of new Js... It's just worth it to get an older pair of 1s or just pay $200 more and upgrade to SLP. I gave up on the hunt for royals man. It was too aggravating. Saw the SLP come out and decided to go for those instead since I got my red 1s still. Even that took some searching but got them for retail thanks another NTer.
