Brands I think highly of...

Polo Ralph Lauren
J Crew
GAP
American Eagle (Jean jackets, some outerwear)
Armani
Alfani
Express
H&M despite the occasional bad quality, I've never had a quality issue but others have

Because you mentioned Polo, I don't think there's a brand quite like it. They have I'm guessing 9 different branches? They reach all audiences, from the upper echelon with the Black Lapel and Purple Lapel to the kids buying stuff for the Polo logo.

Speaking of dress sweats, a girl in my class thought my Gap McNairy  cargo trousers were sweatpants...

hurt my ego a little bit haha

This is when you tell her to touch the trousers. (If she's hot, point to the crotch area, if not, point to the ankle or the area furthest away from the crotch).

I like stuf thats not readily available in Houston or stuff thats not in our Galleria.

TOJ
Balenciaga
APC
MMM
Lanvin
Rick Owens
Raf Simons
Jil Sander
Grenson
Dior Mens
Raleigh Denim
Jean Shop
R13
Naked & Famous
Belstaff
and ect....

My local streets dont persuade my purchases any more. This thread and those on SF are the ones that I use now.

There's no individuality here in Houston. They need logos plastered all over it, for it to be hot. I notice allot of dudes hate my pieces but the women appreciate it whole lot more.

Honestly, J crew has up graded but it seems in this thread its like the H&M for dressing better(meaning everyone gets it). Try checking other sites guys like Asos and zanerobe and river island. The quality is 10 tens better than J crew. Only disadvantge is its overseas, but they do deliver to America. They have more variety for winter wear and the suits are amazing. I perfer mixing different pieces from different brands instead of being a walking J crew model

My order from Yoox has been postponed until further notice.

RE: Peacoat. I agree with K in that classic pieces are well, timeless. I appreciate a fashion forward approach on them, a la Raf or McQueen as well, but class pieces will never look dated. A lot of folks prefer navy peacoat, but I always prefer a camel color one. This outfit is so ace, well played on the colors.

I wrote a paper in my Marketing class about this. I used images from Wu Tang Clan and early Kanye. I think only 2 people in the class knew who they were

Its amazing how long they have endured. I have pictures from when I was in grade school missing teeth rocking the polo man. I may have had an adult sized head at 6 but my Polo game was right.

If I can find the Polo bear knitted sweater in my size for a good price, I'd buy it again.

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a CPO shirt online. I've never bought one before, but I know it's meant to be worn sort of like a jacket so should I buy my normal size or should I size up?

PM'd you, my man. I had two of them from J. Crew a couple of years ago and I stuck with the same size as my shirts and it worked well.

AKA the expensive stuff

I mix up the brands myself with the aforementioned and common mall stuff like BR and J. Crew.

PG has one of my fav Tumblr blogs. He's about 20 years older than I am, but carries a similar style. I can definitely see myself still dressing like this in 20 years.

Ive been there.

Its over by Premium Goods.

Didn't see any APC though. They have a 15% disco for SF members dont remember what it is. They issued one then they had a giltch in their ordering system and pulled it. I think you had to call in to use it. The guy in the store was going to let me use it in store before they announced it.

Yeah, there can be some expensive things in my list. They key is to shop smart. I learned to shop smart from my mom. I save allot between the end of year sales and that allows me to go ham when they happen. I use pintrest now to keep track of what I want and now their are websites that allow you to maintain dream boxes/ wish lists.

If it dont go on sale I generally dont buy it.

I only pay retail when absolutely have to have it.

I like shopping for a deal.
