Hey, fellas. New to the board.
Been on the prowl for some loafers (penny or tassel, no driver mocs) to wear on the more casual tip, but can't seem to find anything solid around my college student budget ($150 or less). Anyone have any suggestions? I really like what Oak Street Bootmakers has to offer but the price point is brutal

RE: Peacoat. I agree with K in that classic pieces are well, timeless. I appreciate a fashion forward approach on them, a la Raf or McQueen as well, but class pieces will never look dated. A lot of folks prefer navy peacoat, but I always prefer a camel color one. This outfit is so ace, well played on the colors.
That looks fresh, my grandpa actually had a camel peacoat that my dad still kept its super thick and looks like he never wore if before....only thing is its a full knee length one and I still can't embrace that style here at school
(feel like it'd look a little weird compared to my shorter navy one) but once I'm older and out of my college environment I'll be rocking that one for sure

Pants don't fall right, too tight at the calf, causing the bunching at the knee. Also, the tie is too light, perhaps a matted burgundy or foulard pattern would have added more texture, and the shades are OD Elton John'ish.My order from Yoox has been postponed until further notice.

I read somewhere that you could purchase the Alden x J.Crew #8 shell cordovan longwing blucher so that comes out to approximately $500 which is a relatively good price. The only thing I don't like is that it is on a crepe sole.

NC: Please read the guideline and if you're cool with it...give Grizzlyboy a PM with your info so we will have an even amount of participants. It's only a couple of days over, so it should still be good. I set the date a bit early so you dudes can have ample time shopping. I want everyone to get their gift by Xmas of 2012.

Polo - As mentioned, very versatile and many options form low end (affordable) to high end (rent money)
Banana Republic - Don't frequent as much as I used to, and usually just buy ties and socks now. When I was getting started, this was my spot, the constant codes and promos kept me going. Shirts don't last long, but they are not supposed to. Have a couple of suits from BR, great bang for my buck.
Allen Edmonds - Great American made shoes, although hunting for discounts can be a pain in the ***. Well worth it, even at retail.
Levi's - I'm not a denim snob (no offense), and I have a healthy rotation of 508's, 514's (sneakers friendly) and 521's. The 514's are always tailored.
Brooks Brothers - Rarely have sales, but when they do, I go ham. Their ESF shirts are money, love them.
Charles Tyrwhitt - Great shirts at a great price and they always have sales/discounts.
Jockey - Best undershirts/underwear IMO.
Dockers - Alpha Khaki's are a staple, love them, minor tailoring required.
JCrew/JCrew Factory - Not always a fan of their price points, but promo codes are abundant. Love their sweaters and casual shirts, don't want to drop the loot to get a JCrew suit.
Calvin Klein - Bought a slim fit suit last year, loved it.
Clarks - DB's are very versatile and comfortable. A wardrobe staple.
