It's their skinniest fit. Get 2 sizes if ur unsure n just return the other one. It's not a super skinny Jean its a tweener between a slim straight and a skinny jean bc the leg opening is about 7-7.25" n loose in the calfs. The jeans will stretch out over time I'm a 32w in the chinos n a 31w in the jeans

Alright thanks for info, I'll just cop a 34 and taper from knee down if leg opening to wide.

Beware. if you squat, these jeans are probably not for you.

I tried these on a few years ago, sized up 2 and still couldnt fit my thighs. At that point, if you're sizing up 3-4, the waist is gonna look way too goofy on you.

Just my opinion.

i have a few pairs of alphas and on edge between the 484 and urban slim

If you've got the skinny tapered alpha khakis the 484s are a little slimmer and more tapered at the leg. Urban slim is more of a straight slim fit. Not as tapered as the 484s
 
To the guy askng if the 484 is the skinniest model J. Crew makes: the outlet has a model called Drigg. They are skinnier than the 484. Size 31 on the 484 fits me well. The Drigg in the same size was almost like letting. Leg opening was less than 7" for sure.
