Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Bringing some #DBNT back. Picked up the two 3-piece Indochino suits I ordered during black friday. I wish their vests were cut a bit higher to peak out more.

Blue herringbone and Grey glen plaid.

Anyhow, Haven't Posted Anything Myself In A Long Time Now So.....

Decided To Tackle The Ever Taboo Fashion Topic Of Seersucker Late This Past Summer For A Buddies Wedding In Minnesota. I Was Worried At First I Might Be Doing Too Much But After Falling Into It, It Actually Ended Up Being A Big Hit With Both Sides Of The Family.

Alright fellas I have a question. I've got an event I'm going to in august that requires me to wear a tuxedo. Now, I don't own one and I never really have the chance to wear one other than MAYBE twice a year. I missed out on an event last month because I didn't have a tux and notice was too short to rent. Would it be worth it to try to purchase a tux or should I just rent one? Is a tuxedo something that every man should have even if he doesn't get use out of it?

Question yall. I've been looking everywhere about how common projects fit. Achilles and Tournament. I'm getting different feedback. If I wear a sz 8-8.5 in Nike/jordan 8 chucks. Would a 41 be the right fit? Thanks in advance.

Those look great!! Did they run a black friday deal? How much did you pay per suit if you don't mind me asking?

Nice! You should request that they lower the button stance. They've done that for me on 2 of my suits.

They had 15 to 40% off a number of suits. All things considered, I probably paid too much for indochino (~$1200 for both, retail was ~$1800 :x) but I really like the fabrics and they're both three-pieces so I ain't even mad.

Srs? That was actually the first thing I asked for at the soho location during my second fitting. They said that's just how indo suits are cut :smh:

Yea man. My first one I didn't know and stuck with it. My second one (navy) I went with just 1 button due to a lower button stance. My POW though, I asked if I could get the button-stance lowered to that of the 1 button stance but still wanted 2 buttons. Spot on, thankfully.

If it were me I would ask for a remake with the lower button stance and have it let out a bit in the middle, some pulling. They should have made it with the lower button stance from the get-go for you. That's some nonsense about how they're cut.

I'm flying down to LA next week and I set up an appointment with Jason to get fitted for my first TaT suit.  Pretty stoked.  Will be my first MTM.

Not being a d*ck but the fit of both jackets are pretty off. The gray is better than the blue, but I think longer arms, letting out the waist a bit would be beneficial. Both jackets are too short.

Is this true bespoke?

I've done a little research on my own, but what's the deal with Suit Supply? I'm late, but there's a flagship opening here in Dallas pretty soon.

Looking to purchase a charcoal/grey suit and a navy suit for my job. I'm slim. Very slim.

RMS, I agree with you on illmatickal's fit. I am not a fan.

As for Sarteaga, yes that is true bespoke. Serg had that suit made with Michael Andrews Bespoke in NYC. Basted and all that jazz.

Anyone?

I'd buy a cheap tux if you can spare $100-$150, which isn't bad if you'll put it to use twice a year. H&M, Zara and Topman could be good, cheap sources if you fit in them (or there is a store near you).

I recommend Suit Supply over Indochino if you live near one. Similar price better quality and workmanship.
