Dressing Better Vol 2.0

I know some very wealthy folks that would laugh at spending the kind of money on clothes and shoes that folks in here do. They revel at finding a nice looking Timex for $15, makes me ashamed for considering a Rolex or even a Tag

And although I don't know for sure if anyone in here is very wealthy, it just goes to show that people's idea of "worth" is across the board and certainly not proportionate to whats in their bank account. Buy what makes you happy, etc.

Don't get upset man. I read your last sentence, but you know damb well the point you were trying to convey with your post.

All I said was I couldn't justify spending that much. If you can spend that much on a biker jacket, or shoes, or suits. Great, more power to you. I'm not counting another mans money, IMHO it's just not a smart thing to do. but like i said do you.

I'll stick with what I'm comfortable with though, being frugal

You don't have the answers A!

I'm just saying brands like Bostonian and Cole Haan seem more entry level.
Not even in the same league. Those are d league teams. Poor construction and crappy leather. Mind as well throw Steve Madden in there too if you wanna compare.

We are talking about Goodyear welted quality shows. Comparing Apple to apple.

They are still dress shoes man.

I guess your pink foams are D league and some common projects are entry level sneakers. By your reasoning.

I can kind of cosign what he's saying.  Honestly, not every person is happy to be spending $600 on a pair of Balenciagas and +$1000 for some dress shoes.  If you have the funds and can afford them comfortably, more power to you.  It's nice to have a few nice things here and there. But the thinking of EVERYTHING needing to be "at Entry Level Quality or higher" is a little over-rated.  I rather wear a pair of New Balance 574 than some of my jordans now a days.  Most of the time, i can't even wear all the clothes I bought since I'm in the office most of the time.

At a certain point, some of that stuff doesn't even interest me anymore. Currently my money goes towards paying the mortgage, possibly getting a bigger house down the road and  I'm saving up for a Audi R8 in the future.  So many expensive articles of clothing I liked but i ended up passing since I knew it was just going to sit in my closet most of the time.

To each his own.

'Entry level' is relative. What are y'all arguing about?

I like my AE Dalton's and I like my Cole Haan cap toes. Don't really care what level someone else considers them to be. I like the way they look and feel on my feet. That's all that matters to me.

This.

Entry level doesn't make it bad bruhs.

thread seems to be the same as it's always been to me. rarely post, but used to browse on the regular.

got cole haan that I paid 60 for and shoes that costs 500+ and everything in between. got 50 nikes and jordans that I paid 400 (gift to myself after I got my first real job after finishing school) for. wear what you like. do have a couple things that would be considered pricey in the closet that I love to wear even if others don't know what I paid for them.

wear what you like (and what you can afford).

Entry level for me was the Stacy Adams with contrast stitching and gator stripe....dudes are outchea ballin.
