just got my grades and they all good. Time to splurge on myself

Anyone miss out on the New Balance 696 deconstructed from a page or so back? Size 12 was too small for me.

What size are you usually Grizzly? If I'm a 13 in Nikes/11.5 in Chucks/12 in NB 998 & 997 you think that 12 would fit?

Where do you guys get your shoe insoles? I'm thinking about buying some insoles/inserts for my sneakers and maybe even dress shoes but I don't know if reg Duane Read Dr. scholls will suffice?

I'm a 13 in 998. Wanted to try these since the price was so good. The length is good, just a little narrowing me. I have wide feet. They fit like 997s to me.

I've had the same 2 pairs of Vans Authentics for almost 7 years now. Love those sneakers. Simple and durable. The midsoles are starting to separate a little so it might be time to buy some new ones.

Pair of Thieves socks from Target are legit. On par with Stance IMO in terms of fit and quality. And they blow Happy Socks out of the water (not saying much though).

those with the nf skinny guy black stretch joints, is it okay to tailor these right off the bat since theyre not selvedge or best to break in first?

Some are better than others. I have two pairs of Dr. Scholls insoles and I haven't had any problems with them. I also have plantar fasciitis that flares up after a lot of running/walking, so as an emergency I always keep Dr. Scholls on the low.

You should be alright.

This post is going to be entry level so bear with me...

I ordered two pairs of Lexington's from the AE sale. A pair of brown seconds and a pair of bourbon firsts with dainite sole. I like the more casual design of the Lexington's (basically the Park Avenue but a Blucher). After ordering I read some reviews on AE's website and the majority were bad reviews with complaints of quality (thin leather and creasing). Does anyone own a pair of these? I bought a pair of Kenilworth's in bourbon to hedge against this purchase if they really are that bad of quality.

Just curious if anyone else has experience with this model.

I would assume it is the same quality of leather as all of their other mainline shoes.  I have never had a problem with 50+ pairs of AE.  Never handled that particular pair, but unless there is an obvious defect, you should be fine.

Me too. I'm not as experienced in AE's as you are but their quality has seemed pretty consistent to me. I was surprised to see they barely have a 2 star review on their website and a lot of people claim there is a manufacturer's defect or something with this model. Now I'm a little worried.

How do your Kenilworth's fit? Slightly bigger than your other AE models?

If you have any problem with them they will exchange or refund no issue.

Kenilworth feel slightly roomier, but I think mostly due to the lacing style, it doesn't tie as tight as other shoes.  I don't think I would size down personally.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping to hear. I went down a width with those because that's all that was available. Saw your bourbon pair which looked really nice. How have they held up for you?
