can someone suggest a dress shirt company for stocky guys? Hopefully not more than $40 a shirt? What I find is, I end up having to buy a bigger neck size, to get the chest/stomach area more roomy...

Might need to fork up the $$ and go the custom route.
I also have a big neck/chest/shoulder compared to my waist area. All my shirts that fit the top half, would balloon up whenever I tuck my shirt in.
moderntailor is pretty affordable.

In all honesty, do it. The subtle differences between a high-end tee and a basic H&M tee are well worth the price hike IMO. I love both my JE and T by Wang t-shirts.
