Dressing Better Vol 2.0

are there any special rules regarding what socks to wear with penny loafers? i'm going to wear it with chinos.

Summertime I go no socks with loafers if wearing chinos/more casual type pants. Now I've got a good bit of no show loafer socks so I'm rocking those to prevent my shoes from becoming a sauna

FAM can you please help me identify the brand and style of these shades. Thanks!

How are the quality/comfort on H&M dress shoes? I need a cheap pair.

Also I need to buy a suit and I'm completely lost on sizing lol... Anyone have any idea of ballpark figure of what my size would be?

I'm 6'2 and about 205.

Thanks!

What's more fashionable, y back to x back suspenders?

Is it taboo to go cheap on suspenders, if you spent a couple hundreds on your suit?

H&m dress shoes? I wouldn't even consider bruh. Are u on a budget or something?

For sizing on a suit, you'll really need to go try on the jackets. Each persons body really is different. Weight and height is too vague because the chest size proportions could be completely different

^ Yeah, I'm on a budget  Going to Grad School in 2 weeks.

Do you have any other compromise of quality and price shoes in mind? I'm looking for something on the cheaper side, but not made of paper

Aldo maybe? I definitely want to keep my purchase under $150.

That's very true, guess I'll just have to go try on! Was just curious.

You should be able to find some nice Cole Haan dress shoes for under $150. Too bad you didn't post a week or so back, they had a site wide 30% off sale.

You can still get 15% off your first order if you sign up for their email list though.

as mentioned, check cole haan or stores like DSW for decent quality within your budget. Look for something with a goodyear welted sole so that you can have them resoled down the line (assuming the leather holds up). for suiting, you're really going to have to try on in store. j.crew factory will probably get you by for the time being, but you can check nordstrom rack or similar stores for different brand names. You're probably a 42L if I were to guess, but who knows.

Thought I'd share a look I wear to the office since this thread has played a role in the progression of my style.

Lots of Brooks Brothers for Allen Edmonds shoes just went up on shoebank.com for $160. $10 above your budget, but make the investment; it will be well worth it in the long run.

Been debating about getting black strands for a minute. Is the broguing considered too much for like an interview/any other formal type environment?
