Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Considered buying the black brooks strands for $159 but may just go with plain Park Aves. It's why I was asking the v tread question.
 
I go with with 513 because I don't like low rise but Levi's are fine. If you have access to a uniqlo it's fairly affordable as well.

Cop the black brooks fifth aves if they've got em in your size. The soles on the fifth aves have rubber on top of the leather soles for better traction and they'll last you longer. I think that's the only difference if that's what the v tread is referring to on the strands. I was gonna cop those instead of strands but I've already got fifth aves in walnut and didn't want to get the same shoe

The Black Park Aves are going to serve you better than the black strands IMO.

Thanks for the advice bruhs. I'll call tomorrow and see what they have available.

I spoke to a clerk earlier that told me that they're going on sale for Memorial Day as well but he doesn't know if it'll be a better deal or not than what they have ending tomorrow.

If at $159, I doubt they will go lower than that.

Yeah I figured the Brooks wont drop any lower but when he said that to me he was referring specifically to the Park Ave's which are $219 on sale right now. He said he doesn't know if those will go any lower.

I know that a few members in the past mentioned that they would be changing it to two for $350, but it's been quite a while since I've seen a sale. Someone page bama :nerd:

Since we're on the topic regarding entry-level shoes, any suggestions for shoe shining kits, etc.

I've searched the thread and some suggestions that I've seen pop up are AE's polish and Kiwi select shoe polish. Any other suggestions / feedback / reviews? Thanks

Bick4 or Lexol for Conditioner, AE polish is pretty good.
 
Funny how I've sold off most of my fashion wardrobe and building it back up with strong basics.

I used to work in fashion and just now realized how I prefer simpler fits.
 
Those with the Nf black power stretches just curious how they're holding up as I've heard they have a short lifespan. They tend to stretch or fade considerably?

Have not seen one of those type sales for a while now.  Might be long gone, and limited to certain styles or percent off discounts for the most part moving forward.  Something could pop up at some point, but you will have to be patient.

Owned since August/September. Worn aggressively and washed and dried at least 10x

thanks for the help/input.  just scooped a pair for everyday wear too and was curious how theyll hold up.
 
I like Uniqlo jeans.

I also have a pair of jeans from 20Jeans for $20. Unfortunately, they no longer carry them and have since transitioned to $90 jeans.
