Dressing Better Vol 2.0

I love them but my job considers them as sneakers so I can't wear them.
For shoes just starting out, I'd cop some AEs from shoebank.com. Right now they are running a small deal for Memorial day. I'd shy away from lunargrands if you are looking for a formal shoe or something to wear with a suit or for a more business oriented job. Lunargrands could be fine with jeans or something casual though.
They are extremely comfortable.
thanks, much appreciated fellas.  yea i'm looking to add something more formal to the wardrobe.  i think AE will be a great place to start.

what % off do stores usually do for memorial day?

the crew is doing 25 % right now but i might wait

I bought a size 10D pair of AE Park Ave's (i already owned 10D Strands) and for whatever reason it feels like there's an inch of room inside the Park Ave's as opposed to the Strands.

The shoes are built on the same last and appear to be the same length when I hold them up to each other, but the Park Ave's fit and feel one whole size more spacious. Has anyone else experienced this? It's a little annoying because it'll cost $15 to exchange them and I'm worried the 9.5 may end up being too tight if the sizeing's so off.

I'm a sixe 9ish in regular shoes, 8.5 in some AE's and 41's fit me perfect. They're a narrow shoe, so I would size down.

Just want to take a poll of opinions.

For someone who would have to wear a suit and tie Monday-Friday, how many suits/shirts/ties/shoes should one have?

I have never been required to wear a suit, but I would want at least 5 suits, 10-15 shirts and ties, and 3 shoes.
Whats good with the shoe bank sale? I didn't see anything special on the website?
Not a great sale, but it's something.  All prices should be reflected on site.  Look for Brooks models in your size.

1 Navy suit, 1 Gray Suit, 1 patterned suit (navy or gray)...can you wear separates as long as you wear a tie?

5-7 shirts, 10-12 ties, 3 pairs of shoes.

Not sure about the separates thing, but I will say that I didnt see anyone doing it.

For shoes I'm guessing, Brown, Chestnut, and Black?

Need to step my tie game up.

So about those bow ties you all own...
Hate bow ties with a passion. Abhor them

FWIW both pairs of PA's I had felt noticably bigger in the toe than my fifth aves. I also had a pair of neumoks and they were crazy narrow. So yeah, not exactly my favorite ae last.

It's weird because on one hand I can't tell if it means they'd be more comfortable because the toe is so much wider or just means my foot would move around more and get sore from running. It's odd that they're so much bigger than the other shoes made with the same last.
