Good song.

Q: Do you guys think he and his movement over do it? I love wearing my suit but 1: When it's appropriate and 2: in more modern styles. I prefer a more Harvey Specter look if I'm going to wear a suit.  What do you guys think?

I mean if he was some random dude he'd look silly but he's tryin to promote his movement and that style is definitely getting him attention. I like it IMO

Picked this up from Club Monaco sales rack as a bday gift for myself. Their student discount is always appreciated :smokin

Intredasting, thought sales and student discount doesn't stack.

DJ had a better fit IMO.

I like the beat and the message of the song.

I think his style is vintage to the extreme so it wouldn't work for me but I wouldn't knock anyone who became influenced by his movement. I think it would be interesting to see more black men wearing suits whether in a modern style or vintage style.

I lost absolutely all interest in playing dress up  I may lurk in here from time to time, but is just not for me anymore....I think I lost interest when I found myself hanging out at social events with other menswear cats and witnessed the levels of pretentiousness and entitlement....crowd just seem corny and I felt corny being in it...idk...maybe that or I just don't have the time to get dressed up to go literally nowhere....still suit up to shoot my weddings and dress clean....but nowadays a clean pair of running shoes, some fitted jeans, a clean tee and I'm out the door....

Thread had its run tho...sure was fun and built some sort of cool e-friends.
clean pair of running shoes, fitted jeans and a clean t is still dressing better to me though.

not u stunting like marcos on them active ride shop white tees lmao

my fitted jeans, running shoes and Active Tees >>> your D. Chappelle looking outfit with them NT Denim

I think ksteezy hit it. The pretentious and entitled behavior really caught on in the thread. (I know steezy said in real life)

TBH bro this thread is a shadow of what it use be about 2 years ago.

There were some really impressive fits and helpful NTers back then.

Now I pop in every now and then but it just isn't the same.

Somewhere a long the lines it became less about actual style and taste and more about who spent the most money. :smh:

We need to get the thread back on track then. I am trying to look great without dishing out my hard earned money to Givenchy, Dolce, etc...

Man its rough dressing up when you lose weight. Feels like I'm starting everything from scratch

Props dude. At least you're getting it done. I've been enjoying food too much lately. But when you're in good shape all you need to rock are well fitting t-shirts and jeans. You'll be set to flourish.

Keep grinding man. When I went from 220 to say 150, all I wore were t shirts and jeans and hoodies. This was like in the winter. I didn't start shopping for new clothes until spring. This was when the OG thread was made.

Yeah my t-shirt and hoodie game is on point right now. Pretty much all I've been wearing for a while. Everytime I go out, I feel as if people gon call me out on it.

Speaking of t shirts, I've seriously been on the hunt for good quality plain t shirts. I bout a couple from Uniqlo, but I don't like how wide the neck is on those. Just ordered a couple from Everlane and I'm hoping they're good. Also found some I want from a spot called PremiumCo, but they never in stock

What's up NTDB famb. I have a graduation party to go tomorrow, and besides taking a half a xan I want to look on point. I have three belts too choose from, and I'm not really sure. I like the my leather belt, but also the last belt in brown looks nice too so it can match with my shoes. Also is the polka dot bow tie too much with a polka dot shirt? I just like that the shirt and bow tie were opposite colors. I'm not going to wear any socks with the loafers. Well if you guys can give me any advice I will def appreciate it. Thank you!

cop some scoop necks.

PremiumCo is not premium. quality is trash and overpriced

I thought the thread went down hill because of the "elitist" type attitude from certain individuals. I've asked questions regarding attire in this thread. Most folks on here give great advice. Hopefully things can get back on track..

In my opinion:

1. Those shoes look like an odd colored suede so It's gonna be tough matching any of those belts. I Would go with the third one if those are the only options though

2. I wouldn't wear a pre-tied bow tie unless I was in a wedding or some kind of event and that was what was provided for the wedding party. Just rock with the shirt by itself if you don't have any regular bow ties

there's never been elitist attitudes.

i think people began getting salty that regulars just interacted more (go figure right?).

this thread is about sharing and exchanging info. constructive criticism will always exist.
