**The Official Ralph Lauren Polo Thread**

Chicago, the watches are nice but no way am I spending that much when I can grab a solid gold vintage timepiece for a fraction of the cost.
Do you know who is making the RL watches, I'm curious.

Richemont group movement is in the watch which adds to the price. That group has a number of high end watches under its umbrella: IWC, JLC, Piaget.

^talk to employee at factory store and he said ralph discontinued the bear tees this yr, I heard they were coming to macys the guys manager said they won't be produced at all, hope info is wrong.

Bear tees potentially an endangered species?

If true, this will be a full-on crisis in this thread. :lol:

Somebody is going to have to get to the bottom of his.

I HAD to email em. And their response:

Thank you for contacting RalphLauren.com customer assistance.

We apologize; however, the Polo Bear t-shirt is no longer available in our RalphLauren.com or Ralph Lauren Store inventory. While it is not likely that we will receive more inventory of this item, we may offer a similar style in an upcoming season.

Welp...|I

Have little hope for "likely" and we'll see what becomes of "may". If released, hopefully the similar style will be acceptable :\

That's basically a form response.

Just bought this custom-fit polo cause it was on sale.
Anyone know their custom fit polos are true to size length wise? I went a size up just incase.

copped the tent patch polo, the beacon shirt, and aztec t... patch polo was $50 plus additional 20% off. beacon shirt was supposed to be only 25% off but the lady gave me 50% plus 20% off. had some macy's cash too so everything came out to under $20.

new stuff is pretty cool. i'll wait for these 2 to go on sale. the left one has reinforced elbows, and a large 67 patch on the back. the one on the right comes in a black and white cw which i like. there are #5 patches on both arms which i would try to remove.

very rugby but i'll pass.

Much appreated Frank. I will buy a few of the cords and pants to build my older items up.

The version from last year with a collar was similar, as was the takedown version from 2007 with no collar.
The 15 version is ok, but the fact that RL just attached sleeves to the patchwork horse vest from two years ago is why I will pass. The shooting shoulder and elbow patches don't even tempt me.

Up in Big & Tall, but not regular sizes.

Kind of feeling it. Would look super clean with both the 5's off, or maybe even one of them.

Yeah, that doesn't look right at all. Tag is sewn on with that same thread used on trim around the collar. Never seen it put on like that. Here's a similar shirt with that trim. No odd stitching...

Yo, that's reminiscent of the tagging on the old school fakes dudes sold on the corners and stuff.

//

New tagging looks weird, but like anything that gets changed, you'll get used to it. I actually don't mind when they change tags and stuff, as it's a very easy way to demarcate eras.

//

Chest patch polo looks good. I don't like it as much in black/white as I do i the red/blue. Gothic P rugby and 1967 pseudo-patchwork don't really move me - deep discount only status for me. Lotta the new gen will really feel that 1967 joint though. ...To me, if it has too many patterns and isn't actual patchwork, I can't help think of all those horrid four quadrant Tommy Hillfiger b-downs from the 90s that sat on the clearance rack forever and were basically the - I-bought-this-just-so-I-could-say-I-have-Hilfiger shirts.
