**The Official Ralph Lauren Polo Thread**

I went to the outlet Saturday basically looking to get some sweaters. 

I spent about $210 for 6 items...just some basic stuff.

Outerwear was 40% off + I used the 30% off coupon.

- V-Neck Pima Sweaters (Retail $98) Priced at $79.99. Got 'em for $33 a piece.

- Half-Button Sweater (Retail $115) Priced at $89.99. Got 'em for $38 a piece.

- Button-down (Retail $69.99) was on clearance rack 50% + 30%. Got it for $24.

- Reversible Vest (Retail $168) Priced at $119.99. Used the 50% coupon. Got it for $38.

I tried to use the 50% off coupon for everything but the cashier told me I could only use it for 1 item. 

I'll probably go back in a week or two and cop some more stuff. Saw a red/blue reversible vest i gotta cop.

With the 40% off + the coupons, I saved a grip!

Macys bro, in store and its on the website

I went to Macys today and copped a grey bear with 20% off, saved me $85. Got an extra XL if anyone is in need, if not ill return
 
I have a question for anyone with this jacket, or that knows what I'm talmbout. The Academy Pea Coat. Iirc,I haven't seen this on the RL site recently. Has that been discontinued & replaced with a more expensive option?

In any case, I strolled through my usual Marshalls spot & eyed a black pea coat with a blue label. The rl price has been conveniently taken off & their price tag says compare at $995 while they sell it for $399. The only distinguishing qualities are that the inside pockets have tan corduroy accents. Not sure if the other pockets have the same details as they are sewn shut.

I tried talking to the manager saying the coat doesn't cost anywhere near a thousand dollars so their price should be lower. It was like talking to a 3rd grader the way he dismissed my claim without reasonable explanation.

The $795 pea coat on the site is only navy and the lapels are wider than what I tried on. Does anyone know which pea coat I'm describing?

Edit: always loved that jacket Ortiz had on. I was poor when it came out :lol:.

^This piece is one of my favorites of the season, but I returned it.
I have three other pieces from past seasons with the identical pattern and there's a huge difference in the quality.
The colors on the new shirt jacket look washed out/blurred next to the older pieces which are made of heavier wool and have much more defined colors. It was very obvious when it was next to the purple label item that I have which made my decision to box it back up.

I hated to see it go, but the quality wasn't worth the price for me even at 50% off.

If you don't have anything older pieces to compare it to, then it's a solid piece to add to your wardrobe.

Unfortunately Yes, but that's my own opinion. The shirt jacket is a very nice piece and quality of construction is very good. It wasn't until I got it next to three older
pieces that I forgot that I had with the same pattern that I noticed the gap in quality. If I didn't run across my old stuff, I would have kept it without a doubt.

If you're on the fence, then I would recommend buying it since it is one of the best items of the season. Just know that you have to stay away from the older tweed pieces to appreciate this one.

I do plan on buying it back if it reaches 75%-85% off, which I think would be a fair price for it.

isn't purple label hand made in italy with the highest quality material?.... not exactly an apples to apples comparison.
 
I posted a couple RLX hoodies a few pages back. Don't waste your money. Not worth more than 10 bux, started pilling on 1st wear...

not all of it, some of it is made in China just like some of the other RL clothing.

I still say that it's a good purchase for those that want it, just to wait for a bigger discount.

Just want to give a big thanks and shout out to polo sport on here for coming through on the proxy for the Davidson Varsity I asked for about 6 pages back.

The whole transaction was super prompt and I saved a bunch of money by copping via the US webstore on sale.

^ One of the things I love about RL is finding those hidden details like the pocket up there. Feel like I always stumble onto something new when I take a good look at the clothes I pick up.
